More like JKR says No to certain groups and that is why she is not nice and that is also why we are all not nice since we applaud her. Like a toddler who gets told no, TRAs throw a tantrum as they have no other comeback.

I disagree.

JKR talks simple common sense, and she calls out the bullshit.

1. she isn't being horrible she's telling the truth. Sometimes it's necessary to tell the truth even if others don't like that. This is called 'whistleblowing'. People often try and smear whistleblowers because they say uncomfortable things
2. why do you seek to silence whistleblowing?
3. even if she was being unkind, why is she obliged to be nice to everyone? Because she's a woman?
4. I don't see you commenting that those abusing her in an unnecessary way should be nice. Why is that?

I do think about these these when I defend her. I know that you can not suppress a truth. It always unravels in the end. I know enough about propaganda and history to know this.

This unquestioning behaviour is harmful. As is telling people they can change sex. As is suppressing the harms of medical transition. I know enough about medical scandals to know this.

I am at peace with supporting JKR.

This is what comes of pandering to delusion.

Some people think that religion is delusion. In the UK we neither impose religion nor ban it. Nor do we pander to it by saying that everyone must recite the catechism of the loud individuals' beliefs. Everyone has the freedom to practice their religion insofar as it does not impose upon non-believers' lives. And everyone has the freedom to say "I do not believe in your religion" and act accordingly.

I make jokes about it but tbh it really is pretty galling when a Poundshop Jesus blunders into the debate after 10+ years, ignores all the harm and abuse women have suffered from having men invade their changing rooms, prisons, rape centres, sports and hospital wards and been gaslit to fuck about it, and appoints himself our moral tutor, trying to save us from ourselves and make us repent.

That one felt more biblical to me. Part of a three hour sermon on the evils of women who won't give way to men, maybe?
