India not happy with JKR drawing a line. Very aggressive.

Jo, you are bitter and twisted. A modern-day Miss Havisham. Bought court. You know it - I know it. I will always be more of a woman than you. The way you and your ghastly gang pretend to be the voice of all women is disgusting. And a joke. Along with the fact your daily sick bullying of women is completely ignored by UK media. You represent the Gender Critical movement - not women. I hope your boat sinks. Go fuck yourself. Trash.

you appear a little upset. foot-stampy, even.

take a breath, read it again, this time with a wider lens, possibly including a sprinkling of humanity and think back at the history of what we endured as women to reach where we are today.
You, and others, destroy our legacy by applying the same oppression that was used against us, now to another group of people. Becasue thas what TRANS are in the end: people. like you, like me. imperfect people trying to find the best way to live, according to their experience.
Who are we to police them?

They're men.

Thank you, I knew there is compassion and intelligence here. ❤

No, thank you.

Plenty of compassion and intelligence by the majority. Comprehension, not so much (by you, if you were in doubt).

It's confession through projection.
When people try to hurt other people with words there's an unconcious bias that we use the words and themes that hurt us the most. The reasoning being what hurts us must hurt others as much as it hurts us.
Trying to make being a woman a comparative competitive about how much of a woman someone is, when it's actually binary, you're either a woman or you're not a woman, tells us what's going on inside. He's convinced himself he's a woman/female but there's this gnawing doubt inside him that's he's not as much as woman as a real woman, and he resents that a lot. It's probably the inner wellspring of his unhappiness that manifests in his poor behaviour. There's all these women who didn't have to do anything to become women, they were just women from the start. He's undergone so much to try to become a woman, put soo much effort into becoming a "woman", and he's not getting acceptance and validation from women who put absolutely no effort into becoming a woman. That's where the comparative "more of a woman" comes from, the effort he's put in. He's put in more effort = more of a woman than a woman who put no effort into becoming a woman.

Edited

This does make sense, he's tried everything and cannot understand why he's still not a woman. With all that effort he should win the womaning prize.
Perhaps the feelings move towards hatred of what you cannot be/have.

Enough4me · 22/05/2025 20:36

@1MnaAthCliath if Jonathan had received support to learn to love himself would he need to pretend to be a woman?

That other group of people, trans identifying males, are men. Men are not generally an oppressed class, no matter what they choose to wear, and certainly not oppressed by women. Their experience is male. Other males should increase the bandwidth of maleness and what it means to be a man to accommodate them. Women aren't responsible for them. We are not here to validate them. Women aren't policing them. We just want them to adhere to the law, to stop trespassing on our hard fought for boundaries, and to stop destroying what we have created for ourselves.

Transwomen are indeed people – male people. They are not women. And we, that is, women, have every right to police their their attempts to colonise our hard-won spaces which are for women only, steal our names and classifications, and in the case of Jonathan "India" Willoughby use foul language and threats to and against us.

Did you mean your post to read so condenscending? Who are you to tell women that part of their job description is to strip off in the presence of their male coworkers?

FlakyCritic · 22/05/2025 15:43

Oh what a lot of rubbish. Transwomen as males are not 'oppressed'. Strange how 1% have had such extraordinary power that we've had society turned upside down, our language re-defined - women and girls called 'menstruators', 'bleeders', and 'uterus havers', we have had intact males in women and girls changing rooms and stealing the sports scholarships, awards and places of women and girls. And, males in rape crisis centres sitting in on women's trauma literally grinning at hearing the stories. NEVER before has such a tiny minority had such overreaching POWER. Never. Gay men never had this power. Not even so-called 'c1s' men. Transwomen are at the top of the totem pole higher than 'c1s' men. Never has a group had more power than this "1%". They are incredibly dangerously powerful; they are the single most powerful, most privileged, most protected Sacred Caste. The reason for that? It is PATRIARCHY PERSONIFIED for this century.

Oh bloody well said! 👏 👏 👏

@mintbru ah yes, just a thought, could have been posts breaching the TOU and Justine's moderation principles for discussions around gender identity and sex.

here it is: www.mumsnet.com/i/trans-rights-moderation-policy

No Jonathan is just a sad little man who is bitterly envious of actual women and hates them with a passion. He's a joke and his behaviour and appearance are very male.

SternJoyousBee · 22/05/2025 21:00

Men are not oppressed by women

Transwomen are men. In my opinion, IW is a misogynist, racist and homophobe. He doesn’t get an ounce of sympathy from me.

You must have lived one hell of a charmed life if you've reached adulthood and now find it an act of oppression to be asked to use the men's room if you're a man. I can't imagine how pampered you must have been to think it's an actual human right to get your cock out in the ladies'.

And even better to think there is a self selecting group of people who shouldn't have to be "policed" to follow the law and common decency; they should just get to opt out.

No wonder you lot are so angry if that's the level of pandering you've become used to.

Seethlaw · 22/05/2025 21:18

@1MnaAthCliath

How are trans people oppressed, exactly? From where I'm standing, there's no oppression against trans people in the UK.

Alucard55 · 22/05/2025 21:20

Oppressed in the sense that they are all over the news telling us they are going to ignore the law.

This is about MALES. The male sex. The oppressor sex class. Not 'trans people'.

Males are not being 'oppressed' because they can't use female spaces.

Read that again. Males, mostly fully intact with penis and testicles, are not being oppressed because they can't use female spaces.

My next door neighbour is a woman. She has huger boobies than me. She is younger than me. She has long blonde hair and mine is short and dark. She has an attractive figure whereas I am dumpy. She is always groomed to within an inch of her life but, me being a carer, I just have time to shower and drag a comb through my hair. She gets botox for reasons I cannot fathom.
I'm sure she could pull a bloke in the pub, (not that she would, she's a very nice lady) but I struggle nowadays to get men not to look through me.

Does that make her more womany than me? Of course it doesn't because I am a woman regardless of the outer embellishements and the benefits of good physical genes.

And finally, with the video I once watched burning into the back of my eyes,
I don't know any ordinary women at all who, without being totally arseholed, would don a sequin frock and do sexy gyrations, presumably to flaunt her femininity. Unless you're Beyonce or a bloke in drag.

JKR posted today about an article where a female prisoner describes her trauma at having to share facilities with a male prisoner. IW called her views bigoted.

Link to article if anyone wants to read it.

https://alphanews.org/a-nightmare-female-inmate-describes-traumatic-experience-of-being-housed-with-biological-males/

Yeah those dirty bigots how dare they object to sharing with one man in particular who abused his 6 year old twin daughters and another who was found to have stored bottles of his semen in his cell for god knows what. India focused on one sentence in the article and purposely ignored the rest.

Patronising dribble. This doesn’t engage with the points raised or say anything useful.

Yes, trans people are people. It doesn’t mean that we have to erase all our boundaries to accommodate every single bloody demand they make. We live in a society, it is totally unreasonable for them to expect the whole world to pretend we don’t know their sex. They need to grow up and behave like adults not emotionally immature teenagers. Other people also have rights and needs, and that includes women.

Men always think they can do everything better than women. They always think they are smarter than us, better than us, can do everything better than us including be a woman better than us. It's a very Male Pattern Aggression trait. It's how we know they are male.

This is the absolute crux of the whole 'movement'

Utter entitlement and Misogyny.

This is not difficult.

Transwomen are not 'people like me' this is the point.

They have dangley bits and different chromosones.
