Greens internal drama warms up

New long article looking at the drama inside the Greens over biology suddenly existing again despite their best efforts.

How the Green Party forgot the environment and was torn apart by trans rows
It was a party united by a single mission – to save the planet. But now the gender identity debate has left it divided and in chaos

https://archive.is/TOlNx

The article is already out of date as Zack Polanski of hypnotic breasts fame has just launched a leadership bid against Deyner and Ramsey.

Emma Bateman
It's no secret that big boobs Polanski wants the top job. He is a student politics slogan churner, a self server who distains women and wants misgendering misdemeanours to be grounds for expulsion from the Greens.
He is "LGB with the T"
Still NO DEBATE!

Pro-women Greens article on his background:;
https://concernedgreens.uk/watchlist/zack-polanski/

The existence of biology is likely to be a significant part of the leadership contest for sure so interesting to watch .

Ali Shahrar has launched another legal challenge against the Greens. Gardening needed.

May 27th is the date for Emma Bateman's legal hearing against the Greens.

On May 27th I am in court against Green Party in a case which will expose the contorted lengths the Greens go to in order to shut women up.

It isn't going to go well for the Greens given the Supreme Court ruling. This could be key moment in seeing the ruling's effect on politics and directly impact the leadership contest. It will also be probably be infuriating and hilarious in equal measure.

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2018/jan/28/benjamin-zephaniah-abuse-crime-peoples-poet-autobiography

'There was peer pressure to commit crimes, from burglary to stealing cars, even beating up a man for being “queer”: “They were all beating him up. I didn’t want to … One of the kids looked at me, saying, ‘Go on, give him one’.” Zephaniah gave the terrified man what he describes as “a little token kick”. It was enough to satisfy the young thugs, but he sensed gratitude in the man’s eyes.'

Well, that's Ok then. Sort of a saint-like presence

Yes, thats what jumped out to me. The man was grateful to the saintly Zephaniah for only kicking him a little bit.

Which neatly repositioned the narrator in contrast to the 'thugs'.

'The way I treated some of my girlfriends was terrible. At one point I was violent. I was never like one of these persons who have a girlfriend, who’d constantly beat them, but I could lose my temper sometimes,” he told presenter Nihal Arthanayake. “There was one girlfriend that I had, and I actually hit her a couple of times, and as I got older I really regretted it. It burned my conscience so badly. It really ate at me, you know. And I’m a meditator. It got in the way of my meditation.”'

What struck me about this was how his experience was still centred, even after his redemption. He is concerned about how it makes him feel. Not the woman he beat, controlled, and abused.

I mean, it got in the way of his meditation. How very dreadful for him.

He was a terrible man for Main Character Syndrome. I can't help thinking he'd have done well as a Scientologist.

What Polanski?

Isn't that exactly what the hypnoboobs thing was about.

Oh wait we weren't talking about him were we?

No, I was thinking of Zephaniah. The whole thing of "I hit my girlfriend, and I'm really upset about the bad karma I'm carrying around from it" sounds very much like a Scientologist way of putting it.

Polanski, though... all I'll say is that El-Ron was also a hypnotist.

I know. My point is the same argument is applicable. Manipulative men who don't take responsibility and think they should have power / influence over other humans and that other humans are beneath them and not equal.

I will never not be amused by the old 1960s photos of L Ron Hubbard trying to detect consciousness in a tomato plant.

Had Hubbard been born a few decades later, he too could have been Green Party leader.

Tomato communing looks quite kooky and endearing, though.

TWETMIRF · 18/10/2025 09:27

A tomato could do a better job of running the country than the Green Party.

ZP continues to be busy in interviews. However he repeats and exaggerates himself. That doesn't mean he won't be successful Farage and Trump do the same thing.

Good article on his positions.

Good article. But grim to note that some of the policies he's touting - rent cap/control, legalised drugs - are already causing huge suffering in Scotland.

'Genuine divides in public opinion, such as on the issue of trans rights and women’s sports, are dismissed as irrelevant concoctions of the “billionaire press” to distract from the real issues of — yes, you’ve guessed it — inequality and austerity. Those millions of Britons who take the opposite view to Polanski on trans identity are presumably so thick as to have been duped by a scheming media, rather than having genuine and rational concerns.'

NasturtiumsAreUnderrated · 21/10/2025 08:54

According to Sam Coates (Sky), the Hypnoboobs media blitz is already forcing the govt to shift its position on green issues: having intended to dodge the COP in Brazil, Starmer will now attend, racking up yet more air miles so that he can look statesman-like on the international stage and signal that he cares, even as his Chancellor pursues her - classically rightwing - policy of slashing regulations in desperate pursuit of extractive growth. Well done, Zack!

The Taxing The Billionaires thing is all well and good. Though as with the comments up thread from a green party office worker who used to find members minimising thier declared incomes to pay lower subs, it's basing all your spending ambitions on getting money from people you affect to despise

Lalgarh · 23/10/2025 13:26

Sian Berry takes umbrage at suggestions that their party is heavily dependent on rural NIMBY support. Also tries to square the circle on opposition to NATO whilst being "really worried" about Russia.

It's maybe hard for ordinary people to grasp that if a billionaire doesn't like the tax-scape of a country, they can pretty easily move away - even if only on paper. For most people, the idea of movign about like that is unimaginable, but I reckon if you have shittons of money it's not such a big deal.

ArabellaScott · 24/10/2025 15:57

Well, they're leaning into it.

Flags, trans, a bunch of 'barmy' people, wealth tax, shit graphics. Absolutely no sign whatsoever of environment policies. Gone.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 24/10/2025 16:05

perhaps they should just change their name to the Rainbow party and have done with it! Clearly environmental Green issues are passe

ArabellaScott · 24/10/2025 16:15

Sex and money appear to be the priorities.

I'm sure that may appeal to quite a lot of people who are tired of being skint and miserable.

Greens for free love and free money for all! Except billionaires, who can jolly well leave so we can all enjoy a rainbow utopia without them mithering on about tax. BOooooRing.
