Greens internal drama warms up

New long article looking at the drama inside the Greens over biology suddenly existing again despite their best efforts.

How the Green Party forgot the environment and was torn apart by trans rows
It was a party united by a single mission – to save the planet. But now the gender identity debate has left it divided and in chaos

https://archive.is/TOlNx

The article is already out of date as Zack Polanski of hypnotic breasts fame has just launched a leadership bid against Deyner and Ramsey.

Emma Bateman
It's no secret that big boobs Polanski wants the top job. He is a student politics slogan churner, a self server who distains women and wants misgendering misdemeanours to be grounds for expulsion from the Greens.
He is "LGB with the T"
Still NO DEBATE!

Pro-women Greens article on his background:;
https://concernedgreens.uk/watchlist/zack-polanski/

The existence of biology is likely to be a significant part of the leadership contest for sure so interesting to watch .

Ali Shahrar has launched another legal challenge against the Greens. Gardening needed.

May 27th is the date for Emma Bateman's legal hearing against the Greens.

On May 27th I am in court against Green Party in a case which will expose the contorted lengths the Greens go to in order to shut women up.

It isn't going to go well for the Greens given the Supreme Court ruling. This could be key moment in seeing the ruling's effect on politics and directly impact the leadership contest. It will also be probably be infuriating and hilarious in equal measure.

'Some of my best friends wipe people's arses'.

Except that physiotherapists don’t do personal care and ‘palliative care’ is a discipline involving many people, most of whom, again, aren’t responsible for personal care.

I think he is clueless, but I don’t know how much that matters if his core demographic is fellow clueless people.

ArabellaScott · 07/12/2025 10:34

Sure, its just the general attempt to pretend his obvious distaste and sneering snobbery is absolved by what his partner does.

This man is such an obvious self centred fake. Its gob smacking that people will fall for it.

RunMeOver · 07/12/2025 11:07

Hey people fell for Johnson and are still falling for Farage. He's nothing in comparison.

I think he comes across as younger than he is. His remark wasn’t just offensive to care workers, but all the people who have to give personal care to family members. Does he think the care fairy magically appears whenever anyone has to deal with bodily functions?

It’s the kind of disgust one might expect from a young adult, but he is 43.

Amazing how often "I've been misrepresented" means "Oh shit, I've said the quiet bit out loud!" in politician speak.

You get the impression that he thinks if he just talks insistently in a rapid fire manner, with no pause for reflection, or for question...he'll be fine. He's riding a wave of personal dynamism and hypnotic illusion and people are gullibly falling for it.

Tick tock

ALI vs GPEW: LEGAL UPDATE!
Last week, the Court confirmed that the Green Party is defending this case. We are now preparing our Directions and Reply to their defence. The case is moving forward well, but I need your continued support for this next stage.

I’m asking for your help to raise £3,000 over the next three weeks. This will directly cover a significant portion of the cost of these crucial legal documents. We’ve already overcome the delays and obstruction tactics that have become typical of the Green Party’s legal manoeuvres. But let’s be clear. This is not a game. This is about unlawful discrimination and victimisation, and I will not let you down in standing up to it and exposing it.

If anyone doubts the depth of the problem, consider what happened just last week:

♀️ A group of women threatened legal action against the Green-run Bristol council after walkouts, blocked questions, and democratic obstruction.

♀️ Diane Toynbee, Green leader in Herefordshire, was suspended by the Party for her sex-realist beliefs.

When I see this continued persecution of electors and activists, it only strengthens my resolve to win this second battle in the courts for all of us.

To everyone who has already donated - thank you so much for your generosity and belief in this cause. Your support means the world to me and makes this fight possible.

Yes, but neither of those two posited themselves as altruists in the way that Zack has.

A.friend heard that quote and immediately asked how old Zack was.

Any parent or anyone who has looked after older relatives would surely have found it jarring at best, mostly offensive.

YY I’m not that much older than him and have had to arrange home care for elderly relatives with dementia until end of life and step in to supervise when needed. The carers with few exceptions have been amazing. Both ones born in the UK and ones who moved here to do the job. I certainly don’t think of them as bum wipers and it’s incredibly revealing that he does.

Good luck to him, and he seems to have a good case as he’s already won one against them and is claiming further victimisation following that.

Goes right along with the superannuated student beliefs.

Immature, sexist manchild.

There's a good article by Victoria Smith in The Critic

ArabellaScott · 07/12/2025 15:20

'aren’t nurses members of the natural born arse wiper class?'

Oof.

Privileged men despising lower class women, older women, and the poor, specifically for being disadvantaged. It's a familiar story.

The lanyard class is really just quickly finding new ways to stay on top, isnt it?

Self.flagellating and agitating over historic or geographically distant wrongs is safe ground. Diverts attention from actual hierarchies, power, and privilege here and now, offers opportunities to demonstrate virtue and chastise other people.

lcakethereforeIam · 07/12/2025 15:52

Once we get old enough and until we get too old we're all bum wipers. I'm surprised a gay man is so squeamish.

Lalgarh · 08/12/2025 00:39

Crass, I think.

It annoys me that bum wiping is ALWAYS the thing mentioned. That critic article makes points about bodily autonomy. It's part of the squeamishness ppl have about disability and ageing. Yet people have pets who have to do this without a moments thought

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/12/2025 00:42

Some creep on Twitter I was arguing with said it about Sandie Peggie, he obviously felt Upton was superior by virtue of being a doctor (and male, I imagine).

Bumgate continues to be talked about.

Zack Polanski’s ‘bum-wiping’ quip was a mask-off moment
Why does the left think it’s ‘compassionate’ to leave the nation’s dirty work to poorly paid migrants?

Eaton makes good argument here that attacks on Green policies like on defence or drugs are not their weak spot

Labour’s Green attacks are misfiring
Keir Starmer’s dismissal of the insurgent party as “nuts” won’t work
By George Eaton

Wes Streeting’s response to Polanski’s comments on social care workers – “I don’t particularly want to wipe someone’s bum,” he told Question Time – was notably stronger because it questioned the Greens’ progressive credentials and class consciousness. “Social care is a hard, rewarding, skilled professional job,” said Streeting. “That’s why we’re delivering the first-ever fair pay agreement in social care and building a care profession”.
This is the terrain on which Labour can challenge Polanski. Dismissing them as “nuts” won’t work – if you’re responsive to that charge you’re unlikely to be the kind of person who would ever consider voting Green. But arguing that Labour is a more genuinely progressive choice might. And if that doesn’t, warning that a divided left vote will put Nigel Farage in No 10 is a decent reserve option.
Almost 20 years ago, deploying much the same tone as Starmer, David Cameron dismissed an insurgent Ukip as “fruitcakes” and “loonies”. How did that one go? The risk for Labour is that, unless something changes, Starmer’s attack is remembered as no less effective.

BumGate take from Marina Hyde

Make a political hero of Zack Polanski if you want. Just don’t forget to engage your brain
Marina Hyde

I must say I thought of Kelly’s faux pas when I saw Green party leader Zack Polanski last week. If you missed this moment, or are trying to avoid it because you quite want to vote for him and are already trying to avoid the boob-hypnosis video (more on that later!), Zack took the opportunity of the show’s immigration special to explain to the audience: “One in five care workers are foreign nationals. I don’t know about you, but I don’t particularly want to wipe someone’s bum, and I’m very grateful for the people who do this work.”
Again: ooooooof. So that’s what they’re there for – and, indeed, that’s what care work is. Still, what a standup guy for being grateful.
And thank goodness for the anti-woke vibe shift, right? After all, Zack metaphorically showing his arse while talking about elderly and disabled people’s “bums” is precisely the sort of thing that the cancellers would have cancelled you for as recently as a year ago. Imagine my synthetic shock, then, to note so many of the great witch-hunters of the past decade finding absolutely nothing to see here. Imagine my synthetic wonderment at all the Green party devotees who are able to defend this moment as coming from a good place. I guess that like Kelly, people like Zack simply are not capable of subconsciously holding unpleasant views that they accidentally reveal while making important TV appearances.

'Many people who never stop talking about red flags might be able to look past Polanski’s weird boob hypnosis or the mindset he accidentally revealed on Question Time last week. But surely it would be better if they could admit they are looking past their guy’s flaws, ideally somewhat disenchantedly, rather than shutting their eyes utterly to them. All blindly tribal politics leads to disappointment at best – but much more typically, to something worse.'

Yep.
