Greens internal drama warms up

New long article looking at the drama inside the Greens over biology suddenly existing again despite their best efforts.

How the Green Party forgot the environment and was torn apart by trans rows
It was a party united by a single mission – to save the planet. But now the gender identity debate has left it divided and in chaos

https://archive.is/TOlNx

The article is already out of date as Zack Polanski of hypnotic breasts fame has just launched a leadership bid against Deyner and Ramsey.

Emma Bateman
It's no secret that big boobs Polanski wants the top job. He is a student politics slogan churner, a self server who distains women and wants misgendering misdemeanours to be grounds for expulsion from the Greens.
He is "LGB with the T"
Still NO DEBATE!

Pro-women Greens article on his background:;
https://concernedgreens.uk/watchlist/zack-polanski/

The existence of biology is likely to be a significant part of the leadership contest for sure so interesting to watch .

Ali Shahrar has launched another legal challenge against the Greens. Gardening needed.

May 27th is the date for Emma Bateman's legal hearing against the Greens.

On May 27th I am in court against Green Party in a case which will expose the contorted lengths the Greens go to in order to shut women up.

It isn't going to go well for the Greens given the Supreme Court ruling. This could be key moment in seeing the ruling's effect on politics and directly impact the leadership contest. It will also be probably be infuriating and hilarious in equal measure.

I made an earlier off-topic post in response to someone else, so I share responsibility for the derailment, but it would be nice to keep this thread for Green-related politics - and the Farage/racism/Reform stuff would be easier for people who might be interested to find if it were on a dedicated thread.

They'd rather bankrupt the party in court than give up their dogma.

cariadlet · 01/10/2025 19:58

They clearly haven't been paying attention to what's been happening in other parties.

finallygettingit · 01/10/2025 20:39

I despair I really do
given the large increase in membership which I imagine secured ZP's election I see no hope for a return to sanity

Theeyeballsinthesky · 01/10/2025 20:40

Green Party continues to hate women & deny reality shock

The Greens have really screwed up. Eight Months before next elections.

Green Party of England and Wales Bans Green Women's Declaration Stall at Autumn Conference
Last updated 6 hours ago
The Green Party of England and Wales revoked a stall booking for the Green Women's Declaration at its Autumn Conference in Bournemouth, set to begin on October 3, 2025, citing concerns over inclusivity, just two days prior. The group, advocating for women's sex-based rights and ecofeminism, described the decision as a violation of free speech and equality laws, and quickly raised over £5,000 through a fundraising campaign to pursue legal action. This move underscores persistent internal divisions within the party on gender policies, following prior tribunal losses on discrimination grounds.

GWD will win in court both Filia vs Plaid Cymru and Liberal Women's Declaration won similar cases. Already support offers coming in.

Liberal Voice for Women

Awful to hear about the unlawful discrimination GWDeclaration
are facing. If only some really smart law abiding women who have already taken legal advice from a top KC on this very issue could help 🫡... We stand in solidarity with GWDeclaration

Scottish Labour Women's Declaration

This is most disturbing news. Discriminatory, unlawful, unjust, cowardly, censorious, authoritarian and politically illiterate. The Green Party haven't got the memo that #NoDebate is over. Sending solidarity to our GWD sisters: support them if you can.

Andrew Bradbury

Conference stalls have never been just for organisations which the Executive agrees with. A clandestine closed doors decision yesterday instead of the planned legal briefing to all interested groups. Shabby.

Shahrar Ali

The Green Party of England & Wales - with pretensions to be primary legislators continuing to act as law unto itself. This looks like protected belief discrimination, for a stall that was authorised at highest level, plus sex discrimination. They do not practice what they preach.

'citing concerns over inclusivity'

Ah, one of those inclusive bans.

At the moment Zak is having a honeymoon with the media. It won't last and stuff like this is the biggest open goal

NasturtiumsAreUnderrated · 02/10/2025 08:58

Chances of any of the journos who've publicised Hypnoboobs's 'eco-populist' schtick and talked him up as a potential leftie version of Farage reporting on internal GPEW affairs as they do the squabbling, vetting failures and general looniness around Farage's outfit?

Chersfrozenface · 02/10/2025 09:05

Does anyone know whether the Green Party has actually coughed up the costs awarded against it in previous cases?

Political parties' accounts published by the Electoral Commission don't seem to be detailed enough to check that.

Left sources will be slow to report on this lets face it. However the countdown to the Mail and many others talking about the latest Boob Whisperer scandal will not be long at all. They love this stuff.

GWD can win a spot on GB news as well.

The Times will follow and possibly the BBC as they covered the new Shahar Ali case:

What will get even more coverage is the Greens losing a legal case. Go GWD!

Shahrar Ali stands outside the Royal Courts of Justice, wearing a dark blue blazer, white shirt, and patterned yellow tie. He has glasses and is smiling at the camera. Behind him are ornate iron gates and the stone façade of the historic court building...

Ex-Green deputy leader launches new legal action against party

Shahrar Ali, who won his last case against the Greens, has accused the party of continuing to discriminate against him for his gender critical beliefs.

I am positive Shahrar Ali got his money. Otherwise he would be focusing on that as something in his new case.

Left sources - and the Beeb, who reported the eco-populism stuff - matter, because Polanski's GPEW will draw votes mainly from the left and there will be plenty of people who vote Green, thinking they're supporting strong action on the climate and biodiversity crises, not realising that GPEW has become different kind of party. Even some who're attracted to the social justice policies might baulk at the party's disavowal of the very existence of women as a class and the suppression of women's voices.

NasturtiumsAreUnderrated · 02/10/2025 10:02

ZP did local radio this morning. Failed to take the opportunity to make the link between migration and the climate crisis. Didn't talk about making sure that, over the longer term, the UK is able and willing to welcome climate refugees or about actions to minimise the number of people displaced by the climate crisis. FFS. He could have ticked his favourite boxes and actually sounded like a Green.

A driven, two-faced selfpublicist. The perfect credentials to become a successful politician.

Lalgarh · 03/10/2025 11:23

Polanski was on R4 today this morning. I missed the start but esp after the Manchester attacks he was asked if there's any innate tension between having Mothin Ali as Deputy, who tweeted rejoicing at the attack on colonialist settlers on 7th October attacks, plus another green councillor who retweeted HAMAS press conferences, and condemning the violence against the Jewish community as if it's something unconnected. He waffled a LOT about context and said Ali has since apologised, so well that's ok.

Don't know if the trans stuff came up. India Willoughby was goading Ali a few weeks ago to condemn the Trans Genocide.

I'm not sure Polanski is going to be able to reconcile this. He's going to be eaten alive

NasturtiumsAreUnderrated · 03/10/2025 12:39

@Lalgarh he also made a lengthy appearance on the newscast podcast last night. His segment starts about halfway. I didn't listen because I've made up my mind about Polanski and I've got better things to do with my time, but if you fancy it...

Lalgarh · 03/10/2025 13:15

Ta @NasturtiumsAreUnderrated

Am actually growing some nasturtiums at the moment. Don't quite believe they're edible though

cariadlet · 03/10/2025 16:34

Actually, nasturtium leaves and flowers are both edible. I've seen them recommended for salads.

Heggettypeg · 03/10/2025 16:57

Nasturtium seeds are nice to eat too.
