Greens internal drama warms up

New long article looking at the drama inside the Greens over biology suddenly existing again despite their best efforts.

How the Green Party forgot the environment and was torn apart by trans rows
It was a party united by a single mission – to save the planet. But now the gender identity debate has left it divided and in chaos

https://archive.is/TOlNx

The article is already out of date as Zack Polanski of hypnotic breasts fame has just launched a leadership bid against Deyner and Ramsey.

Emma Bateman
It's no secret that big boobs Polanski wants the top job. He is a student politics slogan churner, a self server who distains women and wants misgendering misdemeanours to be grounds for expulsion from the Greens.
He is "LGB with the T"
Still NO DEBATE!

Pro-women Greens article on his background:;
https://concernedgreens.uk/watchlist/zack-polanski/

The existence of biology is likely to be a significant part of the leadership contest for sure so interesting to watch .

Ali Shahrar has launched another legal challenge against the Greens. Gardening needed.

May 27th is the date for Emma Bateman's legal hearing against the Greens.

On May 27th I am in court against Green Party in a case which will expose the contorted lengths the Greens go to in order to shut women up.

It isn't going to go well for the Greens given the Supreme Court ruling. This could be key moment in seeing the ruling's effect on politics and directly impact the leadership contest. It will also be probably be infuriating and hilarious in equal measure.

Interesting article

Zack Polanski wants to ‘rebuild relationship’ with Scottish Greens
https://archive.is/gcd4x

Asked if he would be actively making any moves to rebuild links between the two parties, he said: “I think it should largely be led by Scottish Green members.

“I would be happy to speak at any time about the fact that the Green Party of England and Wales is unambiguously a trans inclusive party where we will be working day in, day out to ensure, as well lowering bills and tackling the cost of living crisis, we’re also in complete solidarity with all groups that are being drowned out by not just the right-wing press and the media but, let’s be honest, this Labour Government too.”
Polanski said “trans rights are human rights” and, as a member of the LGBT community, he would always offer “full solidarity”.
He said advice given by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) to Labour that transgender people should be banned from single-sex spaces was “horrific”.
“It feels like there is a constituency around the world right now, that started in America, largely funded by fossil fuel companies in terms of the gender critical movement, that will stop at nothing to remove trans people from our society or stop them accessing basic services,” he said.
“People sometimes ask ‘why do you talk about trans issues so much?’ and I want to be really clear that the thing I talk about more than anything is inequality, but trans people are even more so affected by rising food prices and rising bills and mass inequality.

Which raises the question. Who has all the US oil money on Mumsnet? Is everyone else living Dallas style lifestyles.

Why does he think single sex spaces are 'horrific?

What an idiot. Worth highlighting again that he says "but trans people are even more so affected by rising food prices and rising bills and mass inequality".

Also he's concerned about fossil fuel companies but not big pharma...

SionnachRuadh · 08/09/2025 12:58

See, here's the thing about conspiratorial thinking. It means that there is a defined group of people who you can either join or blame if things aren't going your way.

We are I think familiar with the people who see the hidden hand of the Jews behind everything.

There's another school of thought, which even pops up on FWR, seeing the hidden hand of Russia behind everything.

Zack's idea that the terfs are being bankrolled by Big Oil, Big Gas and Big Koch is a new one on me, but at least he's showing some imagination.

I know, I read that and you could probably have seen my eye roll from space.

SionnachRuadh · 08/09/2025 13:11

but trans people are even more so affected by rising food prices and rising bills and mass inequality.

What nonsense is this? I can remember a few years ago when I couldn't go into my local Tesco Express during the summer without seeing lots of Progress Pride flags to assure the alphabet community that they were as welcome as anyone to buy croissants and baked beans.

The only way it makes sense is if Zack has been hanging out in online trans spaces, where everyone is constantly complaining about being broke.

But if you hang out in those spaces it should be obvious that many of the people posting there are certifiably mad.

FlirtsWithRhinos · 08/09/2025 13:36

“It feels like there is a constituency around the world right now, that started in America, largely funded by fossil fuel companies in terms of the gender critical movement, that will stop at nothing to remove trans people from our society or stop them accessing basic services,” he said.

Dear god, he's utterly bonkers (or maybe an utterly cynical sociopath saying what he knows the people who vote for him want to hear).

Speaking as someone who would undoubtedly be considered Woke by the segment of society that uses "Woke" as an insult, this really hits home just how much the movement that for want of a better term I'll use "The Omnicause" has coalesced from a loosely connected group of causes that are sympathetic to each other due to shared values into something genuinely cult-like in how it applies a simplistic ideology/mythology of Good Things and Bad Things to explain and structure society.

These people genuinely believe their Bad Things are all linked together and that they have a - again for want of a better word - manifest moral mission to combine forces to force society into the Good Things and away from the Bad Things by any means necessary.

I fear they have been so busy making sure they spot the next Nazism rising from the right that they forget to look at the times dictators, pograms and terror rose on the Left so they think being of the Left makes them immune from evil.

IllustratedDictionaryOfTheDoldrums · 08/09/2025 13:36

The Right Wing have mysteriously failed to send me a cheque for my feminist activity. American Christian Fundamentalists have also let me down but I didn't realise Big Oil owed me money too?
Perhaps we need some kind of MN class action suit. I don't know anyone who's had their payment :(
But seriously, Polanski is an absolute idiot. It's one thing to spout raving conspiracy theories when you're a relative unknown in a political party, another when you're the leader of it. What a muppet.

The next election is 8 months away. Going to be interesting to see if anyone challenges the Greens refusal to accept reality. How can you run a council if you won't enforce the law on single sec spaces They look to be more hardline than the lib dems.

Oh DEAR! It looks like the pesky women from Green Women's Declaration are going to the Green Party conference with their stall. They will be telling everyone that women are real and other crazy ideas. I don't get how this ties in with Zack's recent pronouncements about the Greens.

Has Zack been paid off by BIg Oil ?

Or is he just having to go along with the law? Does this make him “horrific”!

Whatever the reason this is a huge moment in the ongoing conflict against sexism in the Greens.

We have exciting news! Green Women's Declaration has been granted a stall for Green Party Conference in Bournemouth in October.
After months of uncertainty we're delighted to share this breakthrough. Support from our members, plus 1,600+ signatories to our Declaration and the incredible solidarity shown by 87 co-proposers for Motion A79 have made this possible. Together we demonstrated that there is significant appetite within The Party for honest discussion about women's rights.
The Strategic Significance
This stall represents far more than just a space at conference. The days of no debate are over - we now have a platform inside the Party Conference to engage members directly on women's rights issues.
We will operate as a professional lobby group - just like any other policy advocacy organisation. Single-sex provision will be presented as a mainstream policy position, bringing these crucial discussions where they belong - into the heart of conference, the supreme decision making body of The Party.

I think the same reason the Lib Dems have been giving Lib Voice for women a stall for a while i.e the Greens talked to a lawyer who said sex discrimination is illegal.

Emma Bateman

In 2023 I protested outside TheGreenParty conference with a couple of women from GWD. In 2024 there were more of us.
This year we have a stall inside.
The Green TRAs are already having a melt down but they need to understand: being a woman is not a costume for any man to wear.

Meanwhile Windy is going crazy. Wherever he goes there are cheeky women saying things. It is absurd that Windy a full supporter of Farage a few years ago is inside the Greens while longstanding members like Emma are out.

Anyway as much as we enjoy lambasting Zack remember folks the ultimate destination for ALL British political parties is the same - left, centre or right. All them are going to have to accept women exist.

The TAs are acting apparently to get rid of women's voices apparently.

UPDATE: A member of the Greens' conference committee has reached out and said that the committee will vote to exclude Green Women's Declaration from conference at their meeting tomorrow. These transphobic bigots will NOT be allowed at party conference

Potentially a bad move legally if they go through with it as GWD can sue as they already agreed to it. They totally should as they could apply to the JKR fund.

Remember when Plaid kicked out Filia from their conference they were forced to apologise.

Polanski I suspect would try to argue it out. He doesn't seem shy about saying what he thinks.

Plaid meanwhile clearly are similar to the SNP they don't want to have to discuss women existing at all now. However Plaid are going to have to have awkward conversations sooner or later.

When the Green Women's Declaration was set up, the organisers and signatories were all members of the Green Party. Since then, many have been suspended or expelled.
There are signatories who are still members of the Party but the women who are staffing the stall inside at Conference are likely to be Exiles.

There was a motion a few years ago (before GWD was set up) for any members who had signed the WDI to be expelled from the Party. That was ruled Out of Order so not actually discussed or voted on at Conference but there were very many TRAs who signed it.

Shahar is warning the TAs about what is going to happen if they ban the stall. Whether or not the stall goes ahead the crisis inside the Greens is going to continue and get worse. Zack better get ready.

Shahrar Ali
You've got this entirely back to front and upside-down. If you try to prohibit this stall that's already been agreed all that will happen - sure as night follows day - is Green Party will lose another protected belief discrimination case. I understand the stall organisers know their rights. It'll be slam dunk, take no prisoners territory. Plus what you're advocating is wholly contrary to party policy & ethos. We cherish freedom of speech. A little ventilation of truth tends to extinguish dangerous fanatical fictions & ideological totalitarianism. Zack wants to take a leaf out of Farage's book? Will he want to suppress the right of this conference stall? Free speech only when it's deemed politically convenient to the leader ain't free speech is it?
