So very important for all sides.

Just wanted to continue this interesting and somewhat "provocative" debate

Can't people just use one of the other half dozen threads on exactly the same subject.

FortyElephants · 19/04/2025 16:11

Surely once a thread has got to 1000 posts everything has been said and the discussion can come to a natural end...

Mingenious · 19/04/2025 16:13

Oh, yawn.

They aren’t women but they’re entitled to act like one (or their stereotype of one)
if they like.

FlowerFairy12 · 19/04/2025 16:14

🥱 🥱 Trans women are NOT women.

Cheesyfootballs01 · 19/04/2025 16:15

Theres no need to keep hashing out the same old shite that’s on every other thread - time to leave it now.

ThatsNotMyTeen · 19/04/2025 16:16

What makes them women given they are biologically and legally men?

They are not, and never have been.

But where will everyone pat each other on the back!

I'd love to hear an answer to this. The defining feature is that they're men.

senua · 19/04/2025 16:19

"Trans women are still women"
Never were. Never will be.

Worldgonecrazy · 19/04/2025 16:19

”Transwomen” were never women, so your statement makes no sense.

@SleeplessInWherever

"I don’t have the emotional capacity, or energy, to be “very sad”"

I hear you, life is busy, stressful, hard.

Some things, though, are worth the debate and your head space, or not?

I do, respect your point of view either way @SleeplessInWherever

If someone feels they are female and wish to follow some typical female behaviours I’m happy for them. As long as womens right to safety and ability to thrive in society is not affected.

WhereIsMyJumper · 19/04/2025 16:27

Nope.
Transwomen are Transwomen.

What are typical female behaviours?

SleepyDormouse59 · 19/04/2025 16:29

I mean legally they're not women. What makes a man a woman? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

Staringatthestars · 19/04/2025 16:29

If you're born a male, you're a male.
If you're born a female, you're a female.

You can try and change it all you want. But you were born a certain way, and that's what you are. You can even adapt to a certain degree.

But scientifically, you are what you are. You cannot argue with scientific fact.

Nousernamesleftatall · 19/04/2025 16:29

Of course they are not.

Absolutely this.

It’s just not possible, biologically or otherwise, for a man to be a woman. Why would you think it is? They can identify as what they like, they can believe it to be the truth if it makes them happy. But they can’t expect everyone else to go along with the fantasy. Or for society to accommodate it at the expense of others.

WhereIsMyJumper · 19/04/2025 16:27

Nope.
Transwomen are Transwomen.

New acronym there..which is quite fitting...

ButterCrackers · 19/04/2025 16:30

Give these men a bag of blood between their legs with pain for one week out of every four. The idea of being a woman will fade fast. Men aren’t women. Fact.

lifeturnsonadime · 19/04/2025 16:31

I wonder if 'typical female behaviour' is calling for a mass pissing event outside the Houses of Parliament in protest of the Supreme Court verdict?

Not, tbh.

I think the world would be a much more pleasant place if we all just operated a bit of minding our own business, less baiting strangers on the internet, and less assuming everyone has shitty intentions.

Beyond it being all over every area of the internet I go to, what space someone chooses to be in takes up precisely zero of my headspace day to day.
