He is not the first US President to want Greenland. Greenland is in a strategic location for missile defense protection of the US east coast, just as Alaska is for the west coast. If we have Greenland we don't need NATO. And I say that as a retired American military officer who had more than a passing acquaintance with US strategic planning. And we don't have to buy Greenland. All we need to do is let the people of Greenland have a part of the proceeds from their oil and mineral sales, just like the people of Alaska do. We gave the Panama Canal to Panama with the condition that they control it in perpetuity. They are now letting the Chinese control it. No way is that going to fly, not in our hemisphere. Trump doesn't want the canal. He wants Panama to live up to the deal, and if they won't he will take it back per the terms of the treaty.

Lots of cultures had several genders including many indigenous cultures (such as two spirit for the native Americans Indians, the people who lived in the “vast barren land” that trump talked about, did you notice he didn’t mention the Indigenous population of the US with one word in his inauguration speech? Apparently the country began with the cowboys). Homophobia arrived on the boats, as they say.

Most of us agree Trump is not good for women. HOWEVER on this one issue I agree with Trump, there is only two sexes. That does not mean I want to bow down and kiss his feet.

It's interesting but I really don't think the left sees how much damage is done to women's rights when you can't define a woman as a biological reality. If anyone can be a woman then you are free to discriminate against the women who are capable of bearing young. Funnily enough there's lots of evidence of that happening. Women's rights were dying in America no matter who won the election

Not doubting you but I'm 60 this year and I asked my mother when I was about 12 what the difference between sex and gender was and she said your sex was male or female and determined by your chromosomes and genitals while your gender was when a transvestite man wanted to be a woman and dressed as one - i.e. he wanted to change his gender but couldn't change his sex. I always use sex and in reports change "gender" to "sex" when appropriate. I've never known the words to be interchangeable even though the US does use gender as they're a bit prudish - i.e. gender reveal when it is a sex reveal.
