Trans activists gatecrash women's rights rally as they protest speech by Kellie-Jay Keen at 'Let Women Speak' event in the home of suffragette Emily Davison

Trans activists gatecrashed a women's rights rally held in the hometown of suffragette Emily Davison today.

Around 70 women gathered in Carlisle Park, Morpeth, Northumberland, this afternoon for a Let Women Speak (LWS) event, spearheaded by women's rights campaigner Kellie-Jay Keen, aka Posie Parker.

But they were met by counter demonstrators shouting through megaphones, who wore masks, waved flags and held placards which read: 'Transwomen are women'.

Organiser of LWS, Posie Parker, took the microphone and said: 'Some women are coming to speak using some words, and some spoiled brats are trying to stop us.

'We just want to speak about our rights. We want to speak about our spaces, our sports, our children, our safety.

Those people over there are from the elites and are trying to shut us up.

'Most of us are from relatively normal families who have to pay a mortgage, pay bills.

'They haven't sent us to a nice university to mess around with our fees and our grants and to come and harass middle-aged women.'

During the speeches, the counter protestors shouted: 'You're not radical, you're just d*heads.'

They blew whistles in an attempt to drown out the gathering and also shouted 'get off the stage' and 'get some new material'.

As Ms Parker took the microphone, she was branded a 'fascist' by the counter group.

A handful of women spoke about issues including schools, women's rights and the concept of being non-binary.

Looks like the police weren't that well prepared, or had thought not many would turn up.

A real shame, as (no insult to Morpeth) going to smaller places is a positive action by LWS. Rather than assuming everybody can get to the nearest big city.

As an Irishwoman, living in Ireland, this is what terrifies me the most. THIS is our reality now, since our government amended our EA in 2020 by removing the word SEX as a protected characteristic and replacing it with the word GENDER (not reassignment or anything, just the concept). But we don't actually have a legal definition of Gender in Irish legislation! And we can see where that might lead.

I partly posted because, as is so often the case, an article like this is not open to comments.

So as much to show that even locally the trans agenda is prioritised.

Not that I have any idea who the writer is.

Is anyone prepared to be less cryptic?

Particularly if it raises legitimate concerns to write to the editor.

quantumbutterfly luckily the live stream does not pick up the loud chanting of some scruffy young men, presumably from the local "anti-fascist" and "anarchist" groups, among the sixteen-strong trans activist contingent.

At one point you can see Florence Waller from "Caring About Dignity" scowling fiercely as she turns up the volume to be heard over them.

At no point did Florence mention anything about "trans" or gender identity ideology. That was not what her talk was about. It was about the most vulnerable women and girls being attacked by male carers: sexual predators.

Yet while she was speaking about young women with severe disabilities and elderly women with Alzheimers who had been raped and sexually assaulted by male carers, they tried to drown her out by yelling, "We are coming to shit in your toilets! We are coming to shit in your toilets!"

It was a grotesquely revealing example of transactivism providing cover for an aggressive Men's Sexual Rights Movement. Disturbing and chilling.

I have heard Florence talk before and read everything on the Caring About Dignity website. It includes how gender identity ideology contributes to sexual predators gaining access to vulnerable women and girls, by local councils refusing to record the sex of clients and carers. Those men would not have known that though.

All they heard was Florence talking about men raping and sexually assaulting the most vulnerable women and girls and they wanted to shut her up. They tried to do it by repeatedly shouting an obscene threat at the women who were there.

I wish I had a recording of them. Every time I see the pitiful pleading of, "We just want to pee in peace!" by dolled-up transactivists on TV I would want to clip that and segue to those bearded yobs screaming, "We're coming to shit in your toilets!"

There are a lot of forces working to promote gender identity ideology for their own purposes. Those men and others like them are no less sinister than pharmaceutical companies bribing politicians.

There are a lot more of them than there are men clumping about in high heels and cheap wigs and it is not just our toilets that they want to get into and shit all over our rights to safety, dignity, privacy and bodily autonomy.

What's wrong with saying withdrawn whilst we consider if we can be seen to support women's rights.

Dysphoria is a real issue. Celebrating or accepting dysphoria is like welcoming depression and anxiety into your life.
