Trans activists have just disrupted the annual Conference being held by LGB Alliance by releasing insects in the main hall.

These nasty individuals who seek to disrupt a peaceful conference of lesbian and gay people show themselves up to be the real bigots.

Way back - (1970s / 80s) - lesbians and gay men rarely spoke out in public owning our sexuality. Women in lesbian relationships had their babies removed and given to the father. You might find plain clothes police officers in a gay club looking to find men to arrest. Being out in the workplace as an open gay or lesbian was rare. All that has changed since I was a young lesbian but now, young homophobes feel empowered to push gays and lesbians back into that dark place.
I'm sure it won't take long before certain posters rock up on this thread to display their own homophobia and tell us how wonderful these actions were and how important it is to them to silence gays and lesbians.

The group Trans Kids Deserve Better have claimed responsibility on their insta. This is the group who camped outside the DfE for a week during the summer holidays and asked for strangers to come & watch over them at night while they slept.
Jolyon Maugham's kid is part of the group but I'm not sure if she was there today

Proper security should have noticed this. Do you think someone in the security service or staff was involved?

From the photos, they don't look like any of the native crickets (most of which are greener and smaller).

I do hope they are charged with the environmental crime as well as the homophobic one.

They bill themselves as a ‘world class’ conference centre & there were schoolchildren there today too. If I was them I’d be very, very concerned at the security breach.

Even now where i live there is a certain male sexually motivated interest in lesbians going about their day.

These people tend not to be very bright. If they'd carried out a more traditional form of protest - banners, shouting, etc they would probably have simply been escorted out by security and that would have been that. But releasing insects probably breaks more than one law, and as a crime against property, it may be that the venue will want to press charges. Also, it's not exactly the kind of protest that will win public sympathy, is it? People will just think "urgh".

Remembering that TRA who poured piss over himself, I imagine the stupid kids could have just as easily decided to copy him

In other news, because I'm subscribed to Mr Menno on YouTube, I saw the lovely filmed message that JKR sent to the conference. Funny, wise and kind.

You needed tickets to get in and all bags went through airport style scanners. The piles of bugs/cardboard and dirt were quite large. I wonder about someone inside helping.

Having found myself on the receiving end of a TRA’s unhinged behaviour, it would seem that nothing else matters to them except The Cause (which is, of course, a matter of life and death since there is a Trans Genocide going on, doncha know). TERFs deserve everything they get, so the thinking goes and the poor old crickets are just collateral damage, died for a good cause etc etc.

In the Mermaids and LGBAlliance court case, it was revealed only 7% of the members are LGB.

It's not very accurate to call it a gay rights charity, given most members are hetero and virtually everything they do and say is somehow about trans people. The conference which was disrupted was no exception with the agenda being trans people.

It's ironic there's no T in their name given trans people are all they talk about.
