🚨Breaking🚨

Trans activists have just disrupted the annual Conference being held by LGB Alliance by releasing insects in the main hall.

These nasty individuals who seek to disrupt a peaceful conference of lesbian and gay people show themselves up to be the real bigots.

And in other news, former LGB charity Stonewall has announced “Hate Crime Awareness Week”, without a shred of irony.

They are fully aware, though, because they restricted replies and hid the majority of them.

There is also another one which replaced the original taken down entry

This now has £5,000 - to pay for more homophobic hate crimes

Please report them

chuffed.org/project/115124-supporting-the-crick-kids

This is somehow still up and raising money for homophobic the crimes. I can’t believe it.

Totallymessed · 16/10/2024 21:29

I'm really surprised that crowd funding sites are allowing people to raise money in order to commit crimes- aren't there any regulations?

CriticalCondition · 16/10/2024 21:36

There are some very well known transactivist names amongst the mostly anonymous list of donors.

Mollyollydolly · 16/10/2024 21:48

Maybe it's appropriate to report the site to the police now if they've still got crowdfunders up. Surely it's a criminal offence to enable them to get money via their website for nefarious means?

Yes and yes. The Met are investigating.

Are they actually or do we just hope they are?

ArabellaScott · 16/10/2024 22:23

They are.

There was another one on AIBU the other day. I'm not sure I have the energy for another! But good to see the "7% members" claim has been refuted by posters doing sterling work. For all the good it does.

I'd day every time someone who does not live and breath this stuff every day - a normal every day person - get's peaked - thats a win

it's only by slowly bringing the middle ground across to the gender critical way of thinking that we win any battles, the extremes will never change, the middle does

Cut and paste takes much less effort than having to address those posts specifically. The repetitive accusations are all just sparple anyway, isn't it?

It has now been pivoted to be (paraphrasing) 'why were they so incompetent that they didn't force the answer on the original survey'?

One of my many hats is writing surveys. It's surprising how easy it is to fuck up and get unexpected results.

I imagine they didn’t think it would be brought up in court. If I remember correctly it was more of a straw poll to get a sense of numbers than any attempt to get a robust figure.

Yes I've also had a couple of jobs where it fell to me, both mine and colleagues always used to ask me to do theirs.

I used to do this too. And analyse the results. I got the basic qualifications for it at Uni.

I agree, if you are not aware of the pitfalls of what needs to be forced to be able to get usable data, this result is easy to do. I did not think that the survey was created by a research specialist.

But ... any stick will do, eh? I mean, once you hold that prejudiced view about an organisation, some people who choose not to open to regularly re-evaluate their views and are willing to believe that gender identity should be prioritised in law and policy, they will grab any sliver of misinformation and try to squeeze mileage out of it.

I mean, how dare a group of volunteers decide to do a survey and NOT force people who have a history of not disclosing their sexual orientation to disclose their sexual orientation! The very thought of it!

Haha of course.

The now latest pivot shows some eye opening twists. It is remarkable how superficial some people's knowledge on marketing research and / or marketing communications seems to be. I cannot work out whether it is a genuine lack of knowledge or it is performative to be able to try to support bad faith interpretations.

I have my suspicions but I will keep them to myself.

Jo Bartosch is Spiked on the deafening silence from organisations that claim to support LGB people but are really just about the TQ+.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2024/10/18/how-gay-rights-charities-turned-against-gay-people/

I think, much like the Guardian and the BBC, they're trying to ignore it because if they condemn the stunt they're afraid of the backlash. On the other hand, congratulating the brats would display to the world where their true loyalties lie, and it isn't with the LGB. LGB ✂️ TQ+.

How ‘gay rights’ charities turned against gay people

Stonewall’s silence on the attempts to shut down the LGB Alliance conference speaks volumes.
