Yeah, I don't think they'd have a problem with her refusing the chance to speak in court.

It's almost like they have no idea who she actually is and what she stands for.

Had Moira Deeming's solicitors petitioned to have KJK as a witness I'd expect that the gov't would expedite it. That would have been delicious to see her on the stand. It would have brought international attention.

Can you imagine her rebutting all the accusations based on guilt by association on the record in court? She would certainly not waffle on like others.

She would have probably welcomed the opportunity I would imagine.

The judge is hating his job right now. Twenty videos. Thankfully Pesutto’s side has agreed to only show excerpts. One was a 13 min clip of the head neo Nazi Sewell being interviewed by someone named Blair. Judge was very unimpressed and wanted to know why he had to spend 13 mins of his life watching it. Dean for Deeming is appearing via video link.

Chrysanthou and Collins are appearing in a different court today and on the same side. Lehrmann v Channel Ten. Also live-streaming. No robes. Very strange to see them in “normal” workwear. That case is about whether Lehrmann can appeal the ruling or not unless he pays a $200k deposit towards costs for Channel 10 in the event Lehrmann loses the appeal.

Now the infamous Gariopey (?) interview of KJK.

In Lehrmann vs Channel 10 Chrysanthou is representing Lisa Wilkinson. Lisa worked for Channel 10 and interviewed Brittany Higgins, the alleged rape victim of Lehrmann. Collins is representing Channel 10.

KJK is coming across very well and very sensible so far in the video. Definitely not as a crazy Nazi sympathising transphobic.

Thanks for your updates @FeralWoman. I'm watching now, but missed the start so rewound the footage, so quite a bit behind. Loved HH's very dry, "when was this scintillating footage (or interview) broadcast?", referring to the Blair / Sewell interview. Haha. Then the 13 minutes of my life... I don't think we did see the full 13 mins of it, as there appears to be issues with the live stream, though I don't think that's a loss.

I was watching wondering when it would get to the evidence the respondent is relying on, on the balance of probability (or the Australian equivalent for civil, defamation trials) when in the interview the neo nazi said, implied, hinted, clarified, or in any way, shape or form, by hidden signal or interpretive dance - that they were there (specifically or otherwise) to support KJK, the rally, women attending this rally - well, I'm still waiting. I had to give up holding my breath or I would have passed out....

Sewell didn't even really know what a TERF was, what LWS stands is, or for, nor made any comment about supporting the LWS women etc, unless I've watched completely the wrong court stream.

@Crafting1Queen Lol, I’m sure that Pintos-Lopez would just decide that Sewell had meant differently because he knows better than the person themselves. The main problem with the livestream was that Dean was unable to be heard. He just had to log off and log on and it was fixed.

Judge was cranky after that Gariopey (?) video. Now two 10 minute videos of KJK talking to some sort of soldiers of Christ group. I’m guessing they’re pushing through until lunch in 30 minutes.

Three short videos.

Video 1: LWS when a speaker quoted Mein Kampf in reference to the great lie.

Video 2: Mrs Keen “displaying disgraceful ambivalence towards the language and symbols of Naziism and white supremacy”. That’s about KJK getting sick of protestors interrupting LWS London Speaker’s Corner and her yelling out to them “your mum’s a TERF” and “your nan is a TERF”. Judge had said don’t tell me that you’re entering this video as evidence. Yes they were.

Video 3: Video of the former Proud Boy speaking at LWS in the USA. He didn’t give his name. Dean has disputed the identity because it hasn’t been confirmed.

A 51 min video plus other short ones scheduled for after lunch. I think that maybe the judge is considering a stiff drink or three over lunch! “The last thing I want is to watch another video.”
