Gosh. I remember this person from a few years ago when Starbucks was doing its Mermaid biscuits campaign. A local councillor (?) raised her concerns about safeguarding at Mermaids and he had a real go at her.

Those details are absolutely shocking - there needs to be an enquiry into his and all the other men from that Pride group and their access to schools and the children in them.

As well as demanding explanations from the leadership in the local council, the police and school leaders about their lack of judgement and due diligence in giving predators direct access to children.

Isn't it awful. There was a time when this would have been all over the media but it's become so prevalent (see countless court cases, Mermaids, the Scottish LGBTYS, Stonewall (Challenor) etc that along with the allegations of bigotry for pointing all this out, nothing seems to get challenged and predators just continue.

There's a reason these men are able to operate in plain sight despite society now knowing how paedophiles and predators work. Apparently Surrey police accompanied Ireland into a school (presumably to talk to children) in the days preceding his arrest!

The question I want to ask is, how many other Pride groups are fronted by people just like this? Because I’d bet my life on there being more than just this set of monsters.

Andrew James Way, 61, had been behind plans to host the town’s first-ever LGBTQ event, which was set to go ahead in July, but the festival was cancelled just two weeks before it was due to start. Way was arrested on July 3."

"Appearing at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court via videolink on Tuesday, August 8, Way admitted a further four charges – relating to breaching a sexual harm prevention order made by Bristol Magistrates’ Court in November 2007."

Children are a major target for Surrey Pride - I see that the theme park Thorpe Park & Camberley Library have been eagerly associating with them - with cuddly animals to attract children ( see the Women of Surrey twitter thread upthread).

Access, grooming is always about getting a opening to meet and be seen as safe.
Get the adults to see a friend and the risk to the child is so much harder to spot.

If Keir Starmer is bothered about NGOs obstructing effective government, he could start by having a close look at all Pride groups for a start. I see no reason at all why these kind of groupings should get any State subsidy or influence on policy.

Just how lazy, stupid or corrupt must we be to have permitted these perverts to step into positions of authority?

Have Surrey Police commented yet? The same Surrey Police that went with Ireland to visit a secondary school the week before they charged him with raping a child?
