Surely this cannot be true. In boxing of all sports. I thought boxing had told men they needed to compete with other men?

And this is what happens when everyone sensitively and kindly fudges the language to spare men's feelings.

These people are men. That's it. That's all. This is a man who wants to fight a woman.

Women should not be sent into the ring to risk injury or death to gratify a man's ego.

The real women are not punchbags-they must enter the ring and refuse to fight - the only way is to highlight this to the world - maybe crowd find for their broken future

That's so unfair on the women - they've worked their whole lives for the olympics. It shouldn't be up to them to not compete, these cheating men just need to be told no by the sport leaders

This Olympics is turning into an absolute farce - boycott the lot of it - until the sponsors are punished in their pockets nothing will change - go woke go bloody broke

Presumably the women they will be up against know this? How on earth will they feel entering the ring?

Honestly, shame on these men. They are spineless. Fight your own sex.

The IOC are also spineless and this just proves how much they detest women and women's sports they have it in the Olympics on sufferance.

I'm afraid I significantly doubt the reasons that these men wish to beat women include being afraid to fight men.

The IOC has said they comply with regulation 1.4 and 3.1.... so they are from the right country and they are not pregnant. Great.. no mention in those sections about sex or testosterone... or even identity...

If the Olympic organisers do go ahead with these bouts, I wonder how spectators will react. The volleyball crowd booed the Dutch child rapist. I can’t imagine the crowd sitting quietly if these two male boxers pummel their female opponents. Aside from the real danger of life-changing injuries for the women, a crowd revolt will be a whole other Olympic scandal. I also think corporate liabilities should apply here for the IOC if they fail to prevent foreseeable harms.

so if either of these two fucking cheats seriously injure, or worse, their opponents, who takes the rap for that?
