This week I've dealt with so many fucking shitty pieces of male fuckwittedness I'm angry, miserable, losing sleep. I don't know what I want from you lot of lovely women but I think I just need to scream from a mountaintop.

It's all secondhand, not even me as the victim. But fuck me it's brought up all the absolutely shit I've had to deal with over the years.

I love this! We should do this! You are going to all be taxed until male violence and harassment of women drops by 80%. You know, same principle as teaching giving a whole class detention!

Giving a shit about women's basic rights as humans hasn't been enough to motivate them, so they should be taxed for all the harm they cause - maybe that would motivate them to start challenging other men on their shit attitudes and behaviour to women. Because that's what is needed. If other men had zero tolerance of this shit, an awful lot of abuse of women would just stop.

Yep, it's other men tolerating it that emboldens the offenders. I've repeatedly said to DH and male friends that THEY need to tell the men who don't fit "gender norms" that yes, they ARE safe and ARE welcome in male facilities, where they belong. That no, it really doesn't matter to other guys that you wear make up and skirts. .
Blokes HAVE to speak up and fix this fucking problem, because they fucking created it.

This week is the week that just keeps on giving! A major sporting event has drag queens at the centre of their opening ceremony. A boy kills three girls and injures seven more. Idiots, uninterested in the fate of women and girls, riot because of lies and their own racist bigotry, causing the mother of one of the dead girls to put her grief on hold, to try and reclaim her home town. Then we have the global sport of men punching women in front of a paying audience.

They have completely spoilt what I see as something pure - the Olympics. With their tacky grubby opening ceremony to now this farce. It has completely tarnished the whole ideal of fair play and the doing your best. How can a woman do their best if a man is allowed to compete in the same class. It is the same as a judo person being allowed to compete in the children's judo class. It makes no sense. It is the massive gaslighting that is going on. Women are being taken for fools. We are not supposed to notice or care. Move aside ladies, the men are here, and we will be taking your medals because our passports say female. The male boxer in question even said he doesn't care, he will fight anyone, and he wants the gold medal. Have the gold medal you fucker. It is tarnished. Just like these Olympics.

I felt so angry yesterday at my dd and dh as they were sticking up for the boxer and questioning the testing that the IBA did as noone has verified what it was. Dd said they have a uterus and i disagreed. You can use your eyes and see he is male fgs! The other IBA banned boxer fights today; hope the opponent will be OK. Feel I can't say anything in my own house and it's depressing.

I forgot about the rapist who raped a 12 year old child. Allowed to compete in the volleyball. I am sick of all this shit.

So fed up too. Just so angry that institutions protect and defend powerful men to the detriment of women. It's just everywhere at the moment, the strictly Italian bullies, Huw Edwards, that bbc reporting of a murder of a woman walking a dog, and the worst of all, Olympic sanctioned physical abuse of a woman by a man, televised. Just horrendous. Women are not protected.

This sums up my week too. I had a row with DH earlier over the whole boxing thing. He couldn't understand my fury.

@MrsTerryPratchett I get it. We've worklife similarities. It is difficult to see the never ending impact of male violence first hand. What is harder to see is that 'normal' men are little different when you scratch the surface. Look after yourself x
