FFS disability is now on the pride flag

I'm livid. I'm disabled and I do not want to be represented on the LGBTQ+ flag.

Disability and diversity of any kind are not flags. The whole thing is ridiculous.

I can just imagine Stonewall denouncing anyone who disagrees with them as ableist now. As well as denouncing women's disabled spaces that don't allow men.

Personally I’m extremely content in my sexuality and the fact that I’m bisexual and currently dating a woman. Being disabled still has absolutely nothing to do with my sexuality, it’s got jack shit to do with anyone but me and your attitude of “look at me, I’m disabled AND gay! Pity me, celebrate me!” is the reason so many are turning away from the community now. We’re sick of the attention seekers that tar us all with the same brush, we’re sick of the look at me attitude being the reason it’s STILL unsafe to be anything but straight. Reign it in and stop doing our community harm.

It's definitely not a celebration of diversity, but of division. Humanity needs to throw away these flags and just learn to get on with and accept one another for who they are.

It's just including the disabled people who already fall under the banner, as it were. The inclusion has been led by LGBTQ disabled people. They want this inclusion. It's not about you.

The new flag can fuck right off as can the people promoting it, a right bunch of wankers.

Until LGBTQ people are able to live their lives without fear of attack I will support their right to celebrate how ever they wish.

Oh my. I hope the Met has the budget to repaint all their cars. NHS budget will need to stretch to new lanyards and ambulance paint jobs too. Councils will need to repaint their crossings, etc etc.
