Fuck! I just installed a new mortice lock in my door, and I have set up most of our TVs, I create websites, set up my own PC and network it to others, and I fix fences, I do know have to pull together a barbed wire fence, do hard landscaping and most of the painting, plastering and decorating. And sometimes wear a dress and make up if I want to.
I don't have a 'masculine stereotype'.
I am just a woman who gets in and doesn't let other people's expectations of what a 'woman should do' stop me from doing what needs to be done. But that set of examples makes me feel like I am definitely not 'womaning' correctly. I reckon my mother and probably grandmother weren't 'womaning' correctly either.
However, negative sexist discrimination still exists in employment. But I suspect a large % of it is about reproduction, education and opportunities rather than the type of discrimination such as 'I am a woman and cannot set up my TB or PC'. Although, I am sure that will still be around. I certainly doubt any male person with a trans identity will be experiencing that discrimination.
Or was it self-limitation? I could't work it out.
