KJK supports Trump

1000 replies

NefertitiV · 31/05/2024 02:36

After the Trump verdict today, KJK retweeted three supportive tweets to her timeline, including one from US ex-Fox host Megyn Kelly that says "Guilty on all counts. The country is disgraced. Alvin Bragg should be disbarred. They will rue the day they released this lawfare to corrupt a presidential election."

Another tweet makes fun of President Biden's stutter.

This is someone currently up for election herself. Given her recent remarks about barring rentals to all trans people, and the fact she has received funding from US conservative political groups, does this concern you?

I know it’s not difficult. What’s difficult to know is what you got out of it? How do you think sociology, feminism and politics intersect from this thread?

The actual answers - eg. the perception of GC women of a spectrum of political figures, and how different people interpret the same messages. That is fascinating to me.

I apologise if I didn't word the OP in a way you'd prefer.

I don’t have any preference as to how you word anything. I do, however, have an issue with you pretending you’re on some form of learning journey when you made a value judgment of KJK’s actions in your OP, revealing your position. Just disingenuous.

I can't also have opinions? As well as be interested in others' opinions? Confused

And you do have preferences on how things are worded. You've based your criticism on that.

What a tiny echo chamber you must live in!

You do come across as judgemental though. You confirm you are GC and agree that trans women are not men and do not belong in female single sex spaces. But then you make the remarks about this board being full of 'tedious trans threads' and 'private parts'. Well I'm sure all of us would rather not have to spend time pushing back this awful gender ideology but that's where we are through no fault of ours.

So you find it interesting that there has been a broad spectrum of views following your OP. How do you view the people here who respect KJK even though as you say she supports Trump and has right wing views? I'm one of those who admire KJK and her fearless plain speaking.

Um ... this thread is seeking out all views? Perhaps I didn't explain it clearly enough. When I wrote 'fascinated', I meant 'interested'. It isn't as though I haven't come across those views before.

OP posts:
Datun · 01/06/2024 07:51

Op, you can't possibly think you're coming across with some kind of neutral and intellectual interest in KJK. 'Fascinated' by people's replies! Interested in how things intersect.

Your threads and posts about the woman couldn't be more biased, shot through with a deep antipathy that, if you don't perceive as blindingly obvious, then might I suggest your negative feelings for KJK have hopelessly clouded your judgment.

Your 'interest and fascination' appears as one, long reaction to a personal wound.

Is judgemental not allowed. You, also, are judgemental. Is it a rule now that OPs are now to be completely neutral? The sentence about tedious trans threads was a direct comparison statement to someone else's sentence about 'tedious KJK threads'. I stand by it.*

That's fine by me. That's absolutely their choice. One aspect I do admire about her is her bravery in this political climate.

I haven't much interest in what you think. I've already explained myself repeatedly.

Roughly when was it that you last used to love this board? 🤔 Accusing the main posters of TRA tactics is a rather odd view?

I've been accused of being a TRA/MRA so many times simply for having a somewhat different perspective from the hive. (And it is a hive - sorry.)

And it is a hive - sorry.

No it’s not. ‘Hive’ is irritating and an attempt to undermine

If you want single sex spaces why drop this stuff in? Eg the ‘private parts’ stuff. You seem conflicted

RufustheFactualReindeer · 01/06/2024 08:09

No it’s not. ‘Hive’ is irritating and an attempt to undermine

this

there are a wide range of opinions on this subject in FWR ranging from ‘true trans’ to ‘no males in female spaces’

on the subject of KJK there is again a wide range going from ‘don’t like her at all’ to ‘i’m a big fan’ passing ‘can we stop talking about her all the time cos its boring me witless’ on the way

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 01/06/2024 08:16

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 31/05/2024 22:13

Still no explanation? Colour me shocked.

Of course you can have an opinion! Just don’t pretend you don’t have an opinion and you’re not stating your opinion clearly in the OP.

And you do have preferences on how things are worded. You've based your criticism on that.

No, I’ve based my criticism on the fact you’ve worded someone in a particular way and are pretending you didn’t. You’re not just looking for perspective, you’re looking to criticise. Which is fine, just stop pretending you’re not.

'Explaining yourself' doesn't actually provide an explanation. Reading your posts is more enlightening. Across several threads.

This is the sex and gender board. That's what we talk about. You don't talk about it. You don't appear in the slightest bit interested in it. As a subject, as a child centred issue, in terms of women's rights, any of it.

'Sniping from the sidelines' describes it best. And then fury with KJK.

Having skimmed your other posts it appears to me as though it's her vehemence you take issue with.

She's loud, spirited, uncompromising and disrespectful.

And since you've never met her and don't appear to have any interest in the purpose of this board, maybe that's just it.

You're not the first!

It's interesting you bring up "purity spiral shite" as I've been repeatedly questioned about my credentials on this thread. Do I believe men can be women? Can I be clearer than that? Do I think men belong in women's spaces? Etc. etc. If that isn't a purity spiral, I don't know what is.

Even if I was receiving a cheque from somewhere for this, it wouldn't be a shady right-wing evangelical church (strange choice).

No. It's nothing to do with a purity spiral. It's because that's what this board is for!

And you don't seem to have any opinion about it. Or much knowledge of it.

Other than some half arsed disagreement about the exact meaning of words, being used by somebody else entirely, who you have no intention of asking.

So people will wonder what you're doing here? Since most of your posts are slagging off KJK. Who is doing something about it.

Asking questions about what you believe isn't establishing a purity spiral. It's people wondering what on earth your interest in this board is, since you don't seem to have one.

Hint: feigning 'fascination' requires a little more than just saying the word out loud.

NefertitiV · 01/06/2024 08:59

@OldCrone

You're interested in people's views and yet you're not interested in what a regular poster thinks?

That poster wasn't responding to the OP. It was more of an attack of my motivations for posting, so I don't believe I need to as concerned with that.

As I said in an earlier post, I had to change names. This is my third name (I think?) in the last few years. I've commented on plenty of different subjects - you just wouldn't know. Even if I don't comment, but just read threads, that's interest in any case - and I do read them. So I object to your comment about being "not the slightest bit interested".

Thanks for stalking, though.

Where did I pretend I didn't have an opinion?

I asked you what was the point of your OP and you replied:

Re-read the OP. It isn't that difficult. As I said in another reply, I'm interested in sociology, feminism and politics and how they intersect, so I've found the replies to be quite interesting and I thank everyone who has taken the time to write constructive posts. I expected there would be a variety of opinions; that didn't surprise me at all.

To me, you’re answering my question about your OP by indicating you’re interested in “sociology, feminism and politics and how they intersect” when the reality of your OP is you’re interested in criticising KJK’s actions and want to know who agrees with you and who doesn’t. Like I said, disingenuous.

Well, you might want to consider how the 'fascination' with women's reaction to you slagging off another woman comes across as a 'motivation' on the feminist board!

The feminist board dealing with sex and gender!

Something you appear to have zero interest in.

Well, that's actually rude. Is there an examination for this board? Is there some kind of rule on what you can post? No? See my previous post. I changed usernames. Note: I had to do this due to someone of the board believing my previous username referred to a sex offender. It did not, but due to the bullying, I changed it. So, any posts under that name are lost to you. That's the board's fault entirely.

If I don't fit into your mould of a perfect poster - sorry. I've been very clear what this thread is about. HTH.
