KJK supports Trump

1000 replies

NefertitiV · 31/05/2024 02:36

After the Trump verdict today, KJK retweeted three supportive tweets to her timeline, including one from US ex-Fox host Megyn Kelly that says "Guilty on all counts. The country is disgraced. Alvin Bragg should be disbarred. They will rue the day they released this lawfare to corrupt a presidential election."

Another tweet makes fun of President Biden's stutter.

This is someone currently up for election herself. Given her recent remarks about barring rentals to all trans people, and the fact she has received funding from US conservative political groups, does this concern you?

They might be aware of KJK but it is very hypocritical to complain about her commenting on American politics on a thread discussing her election campaign

Have you lost track of which thread this is? This is a thread about KJK supporting Trump, a US politician.

I'm complaining very specifically about her support of Trump - who is an American politician and former president. I'm NOT chiming in on her UK political aspirations nor her political party. I'm not even criticizing her political party - in fact, I think it's cool she started one. Good on her. But bullshit on her for supporting Trump.

I feel concerned that during the GE she will become widely seen as the 'face of GC women'. I certainly wish that could be somebody else.

Yep agree with this

Nothing stopping either of you stepping up to do it!

Delphinium20 · 31/05/2024 18:43

Having been on FWR since 2019, while I can't be 100 percent sure, the only time I think I weighed in on anything UK law or political policy is in regard to the hate crime bills you have, which negatively targeted KJK, iirc.

I believe strong in freedom of speech and may have compared them to the US First Amendment, which I am grateful for. In fact, my strong support of freedom of speech is why I oppose US groups like Moms of Liberty who like to ban books. Fuck them too!

This is a UK politician commenting on a US politician. I have no problem with people from the US commenting on KJK and feel posters from the UK should be free to comment on Trump. But for someone from the US to criticise KJK commenting on Trump because Trump is a US politician is very hypocritical

Which of his policies was she supporting?

For the hard of reading, I'm criticizing KJK's support of Trump and her past criticisms of US women who won't vote for him. Some people on MN act like KJK can do no wrong and just can't take it that some leftist feminists critique her.

Also, didn't the OP mention that KJK made fun of Biden's stutter or retweeted someone making fun of it? Feel free to show me that didn't happen, but seems a low blow if it's true. By all means, critique Biden for his shit stance on trans issues (goddess knows I do), but do you really expect us to think highly of people who stoop to that level to mock a person's disability? That's something Trump likes to do.

You could try RTFT

Sloejelly · 31/05/2024 19:46

So HAVE appeared on this thread to hypocritically criticise a British politician for doing exactly what you are doing - expressing opinions about a politician in a different country.

KJK is not yet a politician and speaks in the US. I'm really not sure why PP has offended you so much, she's entirely entitled to her opinion.

Well, when RTFT, I did find you inaccurately claiming Biden doesn't have a stutter. And then some whataboutism that other people make fun of Trump's physical attributes.

FFS.

Well, if she retweeted (I'm not able to go to X to confirm it) someone mocking Biden's stutter, that's pretty low whether you support the guy or not.

she's entirely entitled to her opinion.

KJK too?

It’s not like US politics isn’t being discussed nearly everywhere atm

Delphinium20 · 31/05/2024 19:56

No one is saying KJK isn't entitled to her opinion, we're saying her particular opinion on Trump is shit. And, if true, her mocking Biden's stutter is really poor behavior.

Has KJK criticised US women for not voting for Trump? When was this?

KJK is definitely a politician - she the leader of a political party standing in a general election and has been campaigning for years on a political topic that has been discussed in all legislative bodies of the UK.

Has KJK criticised US women for not voting for Trump? When was this?

On her US tour in DC when Kara Dansky joined her. Dansky, who considers KJK a friend, disagreed with her on this. Dansky, while criticizing the Democrats and trying to hold them accountable re: gender woo, is still a registered Democrat and is pretty strongly opposed to Trump.

EasternStandard · 31/05/2024 20:03

NefertitiV · 31/05/2024 08:19

@EasternStandard

It’s not ‘derailing’ it’s clear some spend an unusual amount of time focusing on KJK and her non compliance to all they want

Others on this board spend an unusual amount of time thinking and talking about other people's private parts and their non-compliance to all they want, too. I don't tell them to stop that, do I?

She's a politician. Politicians have to able to stand criticism. It isn't personal personal criticism.

Here she is a politician so I guess it depends on whether the person criticising is US based or not.

Gets a bit convoluted though

Sloejelly · 31/05/2024 20:05

Why did NefertitiV bring up people’s ’private parts’?

MalagaNights · 31/05/2024 20:06

Can we stop the policing of who is able to talk about whose politics.
It's incredibly stupid.

Anyone is free to an opinion on anything.

Going back to the point raised earlier about Trump vs Biden. It was raised that Trump encouraged the separation of children from their parents at the border. Let us not forget Biden and the democrats are encouraging the separation of children from their parents across the whole of the states if the parents refuse to allow indoctrinated children to receive harmful so-called ‘gender affirming’ experimentation that stunts their physical and psychological growth and permanently harms them. And encourages this indoctrination in schools.

Some Democratic led states, California and Oregon, have made laws where this is happening.

It is not a federal law and not an executive order by Biden

And the children separated at the border weren't just teenagers like the gender kids, they were as young as infants. And the kids at the border wanted to be with their parents.

I abhor both but they are quite different.

AstonScrapingsNameChange · 31/05/2024 20:32

Interestingly disingenuous posts from the OP about those in politics not being beyond scrutiny.

So nice of them to do this public service by starting the thread.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be very balanced, which kind of undermines the wide eyed innocence of their claims.

Of course we should examine what our political candidates are saying and doing, but KJK seems to be attracting demands for purity that don't get made of other politicians (they get made of other women though...plus ca change).

'Does this concern you?' is not a neutral question.

'What do you think about this? ' is more neutral. The OP has biased the responses they have received in the way they have phrased their question.

The accusations of people on this board (the SEX and gender board) being only interested in genitalia indicates which side of the fence they are sitting on.

It's just another day on the FWR "scold the wims" farm.
