Venice Expelled from KLPA (Ladies Pond(

Venice has been expelled from the Ladies Pond. It means nothing really as they are just a stakeholder group, but it makes them look terrible like little authoritarian ignoramuses.

Here's Venice's tweet with their silly email. x.com/roseveniceallan/status/1795437142757532118?s=46

She'll still be able to swim, she just won't be allowed to attend the utterly pointless but entertaining AGM.

It's interesting because they sent an email round a few weeks ago asking members to agree to the constitution and if anyone failed to agree then they would be expected to leave the KLPA.

No need to @ me either as I'm on the thread.

People do it all the time, including "GC", and it's only ever wheeled out when people take offence at being questioned, goes all "don't @ me!"
Again hypocrisy

YourPinkDog · 30/05/2024 15:19

And Venice rightly ejects people from her meetings who shout abuse and try and drown out the speakers.
That is what happens when you disrupt a meeting. You are ejected and/or banned from future meetings.

Answer my question first.

😂

Says it all

GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight · 30/05/2024 15:20

Your question is nothing to do with this thread, carry on with your whataboutery by all means

DialSquare · 30/05/2024 15:20

Don't tell me why I've asked not to be @.

I don't want all the emails. We've established we are all on this thread. I'm happy with it once or twice but it's too much now.

I see. You're going to hide behind the derail started by you. So if I start a new thread asking the same question, will you post on it and answer?

This is the question I'm taking about.

Which meetings has Venice ejected people from? Can you link up where she has done this please so we can see what you are referring to.

Helleofabore · 30/05/2024 15:45

There is a difference between completely stopping a meeting from progressing that a person is legitimately attending as a paying member of the group, and people who enter a meeting with only the intention of stopping the proceedings from going ahead.

Did Venice attend the meeting as a paying member who wishes to vote on the issues being voted on at that meeting?

Did Venice get up and say what she wanted to say but then attempt to try to prevent the meeting from continuing?

If Venice has done the above to people who are paying members of a group, who is there to vote on issues that they have a right to vote on, please do link us up with her doing this? Particularly if they simply made their statement and had no intention of stopping the proceeding further. I look forward to seeing where she has done this because at this time, I cannot remember her doing this.

The only one I'm aware of is when Kat Pinder was removed from WNTT 'Inconvenient Women' event for calling Sheila Jeffreys a cunt:

@Helleofabore I have been at a meeting organised by Venice Allen where people were rightly ejected.

For what and what was the meeting.

YourPinkDog · 30/05/2024 15:56

A meeting about access to single sex spaces with speakers.

Helleofabore · 30/05/2024 15:57

Excellent. And why were people 'ejected'?

DrSpartacular · 30/05/2024 16:00

There is a real problem for women who need to raise their voice to be heard.

When men do it they might be described as having a booming voice, or exerting authority, or asserting themselves, whilst women get accused of shouting, screaming or being shrill.

Helleofabore · 30/05/2024 16:02

And again, Venice stood on a chair and shouted out her prepared speech after the vote and by this time everyone was standing ready to leave.

Can you point out how this was not a peaceful protest that actually allowed the event to happen and a protest by a person who was rightfully at the meeting to vote?

You're missing the point though - it was "point to where she ejects people"
Someone does
Goalpost moves to " ah excellent" and seemingly "it's OK as it' someone I agree with being kicked out"

Again hypocrisy at its finest.

The only one I'm aware of is when Kat Pinder was removed from WNTT 'Inconvenient Women' event for calling Sheila Jeffreys a cunt:

Sorry, I got part way through but I haven't got time to go through this all the way to where Sheila has been called a cunt. Can you give me an indication of timing please?

And was that it, Kat Ponder got up and called Sheila a cunt and there was nothing else said? So it was not a protest, but someone directly abusing the main speaker?

YourPinkDog · 30/05/2024 16:10

@GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight you are exhausting to talk to.
Some transactivists who protested were removed from the meeting. I think Venice was right to get them removed.

Exactly, not a protest, but abuse directed at a speaker. Having been to WNTT events and watched all the others online, this was the only one I could recall where any attendee had been ejected. I'm interested to see PinkDog's examples of meetings plural where attendees were also ejected.

No. I am asking a question. We have just established that there are no links and that it now relies on personal anecdote. That is the excellent part. That this poster was actually there to give us the details.

I am asking questions to work out what happened, when and how because there is no linked evidence. Someone just saying 'this happened' and keeping it vague is not really providing support for a claim without further information.

And you seem to have a problem with it. No goalposts have moved. But you have just put words into my mouth.

Rather hypocritical of you as you say.

I accept it was a protest. I also think the group are right to exclude her from future meetings.
