Be kind, ladies or Debbie will tell you off like one of his pupils.

That article is a bit, "Well, I always knew he was a wrong’un but I didn’t like to say", however, I’ll take it as it seems to be a step forward in certain GC women learning that AGPs are never on the side of women and children, they’re always on their own side.

Thank god for JK Rowling having no fucks left to give 👏👏

I think it's only OK to say it if Debbie is making money out of it.

It's all right to say it as long as we celebrate it. And no being snippy about the celebrations, ok?

1st rule of misogyny: Women are responsible for what men do.
2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.
3rd rule of misogyny: Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.
4th rule of misogyny: Women's opinions are violence against men thus male violence against women is justified.
5th rule of misogyny: WATM! [What about the Men] Women and Feminism must be useful to men or they are worthless.
6th rule of misogyny: Women who go around being female AT men by menstruating and breast feeding babies deserve punishment.
7th rule of misogyny: Women should always be grateful to men for everything.
8th rule of misogyny: Men are whatever men say they are and women are whatever men say they are.
9th rule of misogyny: Men always know the "real reasons" for everything women do and say.
10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it males men look bad.
11th rule of misogyny: Basic pattern recognition skills are cruel and evil when they hurt men's feelings.
12th rule of misogyny: whatever women suffer from, men suffer from more.

Hayton scoring a good 5/12 with that article. Good effort!

Another of these men reprimanding a woman who only states the truth. It must gall them all that they have to stoop to lies, insults, threats and stark raving lunacy when JK can be graceful, dignified and right!

Livinginaclock · 13/05/2024 17:15

Oh Hayton can GTF, he's completely engulfed in Malaga airport.

VinnieVanDog · 13/05/2024 17:18

It always amazes me when TRA (which label definitely includes Hayton) compare JKR previous statements with her current much freer head-on approach, to scold her as if nothing had happened inbetween - no grotesque twitter torrent of death threats/rape threats/blatant libels, no stabs in the back from former fans and former friends/colleagues, no YT vids, articles, media appearances abusing her name to get attention. 'Oh she used to be so much kinder, she's really letting herself down'. Fucksake.

Hayton even ADMITS to being a man!

Meadowtrees · 13/05/2024 17:35

Some men who role play as women take it that bit further / get more validation by pretending to be feminist and align themselves with gc people.
Fifth columnists you might say.

(Apologies if someone has already said this, I haven’t rtft, but some people really irritate me!!).

That's a good article by Julie Bindel. a bit self-exculpatory, but I will let that go. We're basically all on the same side, but we don't have to like each other.

Unfortunately, Julie and all the other women that scrambled to Debbie's side to interview him and promote his book, rallied for him against other such people who didn't [because he is an AGP] and that's when the term 'ULTRA' came about.

All the non-ultras [friends of Debbie] who ran to his side when proper people [like KJK] said 'erm, no, we shouldn't be platforming him and his fetishes' sided against women who they had spent years slagging off, keeping out of the social circles, disinviting to events, and completely ignoring whilst they kept a hand in the game so to speak.

I always mention that HE IS THE ONE THAT TOOK AWAY GIRLS RIGHTS TO SINGLE SEX TOILETS AND CHANGING ROOMS because these people seem to forget HE CAUSED THE FUCKING PROBLEM THEY HAVE BEEN RAILING AGAINST IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word...Go on Julie, pick up the phone at TERF TALK tomorrow and apologise. You can do it!

Tallisker · 13/05/2024 17:46

He still hasn't reversed the schools guidance he influenced/wrote that says boys can use girls' facilities will-nilly. Not the nicest of men, IMO.

Datun · 13/05/2024 17:52

It is pretty amazing that this man thought he could write a book about getting aroused by women's oppression, and still be somewhat accepted by hardened feminists.

fromorbit · 13/05/2024 18:03

Someone has collected the receipts of Clark bullying people online who state biology exists including JKR herself. Not that was needed to justify saying he was a man, but shows how much JKR is right as always. https://twitter.com/galluslass/status/1789969437627392114

All of this!! He had the support of many prominent GC feminists - I mean, what could be more affirming than being welcomed into that circle (it’s the ultimate acceptance right?) And yes, many of us got called those very emotive names for saying he’s a man - Ultra, extremists, and there was another one which I can’t remember, but all of those words had there origins in hooliganism and the far right - which just gave more wrong and misleading ammunition to the TRAs.

Now his book launch is done and he’s not getting much attention, he criticises JKR - I think his last card has been played. But as JKR has now been very clear, those that name called will follow suit. It is annoying, but it will shift the Overton window again.

illinivich · 13/05/2024 18:06

Its odd, because on the surface 'Our Debbie' seems a bit ineffectual, and under the radar. But hes been given so much power from the off. Not only did he manage to use the unions to remove single sex spaces, but later became a journalist and the go to "trans gc voice" in the media. Its still a mystery to me why his autobiography was needed.

Even why left wing men were criticised for being idiots, hayton was left alone to carry on. He's always said its unkind to call him a man.

I dont know if the reasonable fems support him because he has so much influence, or he has so much influence because the reasonable ones approve of him.

Brendan O'Neil's riposte to Hayton - a much better article in my opinion.

ValueAddedTaxonomy · 13/05/2024 18:14

The Hayton article is incredibly slight. Perhaps that in itself is reassuring: "History repeats itself, first as a tragedy, second as a farce, thirdly as space filling column inches.”
Hopefully we are moving towards a point where these sorts of opinion pieces are just distracting aftershocks, a background accompaniment to newly normalised decision-making in the wake of Cass.

The whole 'Ultra GC' thing is something that was being pushed.

Yet everytime you scratch the surface in terms of whether we should respect X individual you see a pattern.

The referee turns out to be not really respectable because: see the reciepts.

And Hayton? See the reciepts.

Respect is earned not given and it should be mutual.

The whole problem that 'Lite GC' has is that when you look at these individuals they follow the same pattern.

Cracking article from Brendan O'Neill.

"A society that forbids truth-telling, on the basis that it might hurt someone’s feelings, is a society that has abandoned reason for delusion, sacrificed science to sensitivity. To elevate a minority’s emotional needs over the majority’s liberty of observation, our fundamental right to describe what we see, is to chip away at the very foundations of Enlightened society".

Saw Hayton speak at an event many years ago.
Gave a speech about knowing he wasn’t really a women. Got a lot of applause from a group of women that arrived with him and then toddled off to us the women’s toilet 😒

God, these men are absolutely desperate for her attention. Willoughby, Hayton, Clark.

Is it a mummy thing?

Datun · 13/05/2024 18:42

Gave a speech about knowing he wasn’t really a women.

This seems to be the entirety of the criteria required for his acceptance in some circles.

It's bizarre. It must've felt a bit like a magic key, to him. I can do everything that all the others are denied, as long as I keep saying I'm a man doing it. Obviously you can't say I'm a man doing it, though

InvisibleBuffy · 13/05/2024 19:00

JellySaurus · 13/05/2024 12:18

it’s not clear to me why anyone should really care.

That really sums up the transgenderist attitude.

'Why do you care? We just want to pee in peace.'

'Why do you care? We just want to have what we want?'

'Why do you care, you old busybody?'

Ticks so many of the Rules of Misogyny.

Why do we care? Because we care about women. Because we care about our children's futures. Because we care about equality and equity. Because we care about more than just what we want.

This is it, isn't it?
If you don't really care about women and girls, then it's confusing as to why anyone cares.
If you do care about women and girls, then it's blindingly obvious.
And of course, bonus bingo points to Hayton for telling off Rowling for not being kind enough to male people.

Exactly, a perverse kind of trophy hunting.
The main vibe I get is the man gets off on boundary transgression,.
