I don't really keep up with the twitter stuff (I appreciate those who share things of interest) so I'm a bit surprised from what you've said that Bindle was a supporter of Hayden. Her book doesn't really pull it's punches, in the way that say Stock's book does.
I think there was a bit of relief that some TW appeared to accept what feminists were saying about GI and it was convenient to have some defense against the accusations of trans phobia.
But when you see that actually they are still trying to access female spaces and that GC feminists are being used as a kind of extreme difficulty setting in the sport of "where can I get accepted as a woman?" (where other TW target e.g. a job running a rape crisis centre advertised as being for a female, or winning business woman of the year when only dressing "as a woman" part time). And understand as TinselAngel has said that including TW automatically excludes their spouse/ex spouse and kids.
Really they were never allies.
