Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I.
Is he illiterate or having a laugh? The Cass Report and countless investigative reports and whistleblowers have, sadly, demonstrated that the pro trans 'professional health care associations' are precisely the LAST people who should be trusted with the care of the gender confused.
DR needs to wind his neck in. He got the Harry Potter gig based on the accident of his looks alone (the actor who played Draco Malfoy, ya know the one kid who could actually act, was the one originally slated for the Harry role) and his acting did not rise to the level of 'bearable' until the fourth film. It did not scrape the level of 'competent' until the final film.
As the late Alan Rickman wrote in his diaries (paraphrasing): "Saw Dan on set today. A fine young man. Diction a little better this time round. I don't think he'll ever be an actor. A producer maybe"
The movies are so beloved because of the ensemble of excellent adult actors, the SFX and set designs and most importantly the narrative brilliance which was all down to...guess who...JK Rowling.
