Is there a backstory here or is he spouting random nonsense? Would MNHQ be interested in his defaming their site, also some ageism and condescension.

I don't recall the bit about Opposing Counsel re: Forstater (and I don't remember if it was the same counsel for the first tribunal, the appeal, and the second tribunal hearing) but I do remember posters on the tribunal threads admiring the Counsel's hair.

And, at some point during her closing arguments, the Counsel made a remark about hoping she wasn't going to be misconstrued or something on MN.

AFAICR, one of the guys in Mumford and Sons expressed interest in Andy Ngo by liking (and possibly commenting?) on a tweet and then left the band after it all blew up on Twitter in order that it not affect the band. His band mates seem to have been quite clear that they didn't share his views but were sad to see him go so I assume that's why they've been smeared.

Lord knows what their wives are meant to have done.

I have no idea. I've only this minute realised that I had Mumford and Sons mixed up with the band Manfred Mann, otherwise I would have suggested he might dislike the song My Name is Jack! It does have decided earworm qualities.

I think the Mumfords hate is very much in character for SL. It's of piece with his regular slagging of Russell Howard, like the Mumfords he is very popular, but liable to the charge that they are a bit middle-of-the-road, a bit bland. So even when he appears to be punching up at people more successful than him, he's really punching down at their audience. Well, that's wotireckon, anyway! 😀

I didn't know until recently that he'd split with Bridget Christie, but it's interesting that the quality of his work has diminished dramatically in that time. Used to love Stew and he had moments of brilliance, but it's been fading for a while. The Mumsnet thing is part of a pretty obvious joke in the current tour. It's eye-rolly rather than actually offensive tbh.

Never mind, he luvs Nandy and Rayner, so he can't be a misogynist, can he? 😛
