Is there a backstory here or is he spouting random nonsense? Would MNHQ be interested in his defaming their site, also some ageism and condescension.

I used to quite like him, when he was young and fresher, but he can just do one now.

As an aside, 20 odd years ago, he nearly knocked me off my motorbike on the A1, near Durham. He was rooting through papers on his passenger seat and swerved into my lane. In my terror, I thought, "Fuck me, that's Stewart Lee!"

I looked into it and he had a gig date in Newcastle.

If you go on the chat rooms for professional and aspiring/jobbing comedians, the misogyny and TRA-thumping is off the scale.

Ain't that the truth. An acquaintance of mine is an aspiring stand up comedian and a mutual friend caught some of his act one day as he happened to be in the same pub. For someone who prides himself on his left-wing right-on-ness I was shocked at the “jokes” he was making about women.
