If anyone wishes to see some spurious correlations to match Suggestions one you should go to the website “spurious correlations”. https://www.tylervigen.com/spurious-correlations

The close correlation of unrelated data happens all the time and just because you want to conclude they are related it does not mean that they are.

For example, searches for the phrase “who is JK Rowling” correlate with the share price of Coca Cola. So I think we’re all funded by the Coca Cola corporation, not the far right or religious fundamentalism.

JKR vs IW

India won’t be happy until India has full control of everyone. Their thoughts, beliefs, speech and behaviour. Unless everyone goes along with exactly what India wants them to, the rage will continue. It’s sad, really, in many ways.

Actually, India will not be happy then. Because India will never be able to compel India to 'believe' something that is intrinsically not true.

There is no happy ending for delusion, not even a hypothetical one. This is the genuinely sad thing about pretending to be the opposite sex.

People sometimes make impossible demands when what they deeply want and need is a firm 'no'. Its a cry for boundaries, which they need to feel safe enough to begin to confront deep seated and difficult emotions.

Indulging delusion can sometimes offer a bit of fleeting 'euphoria', but it won't last because it's more of a 'dupers delight' than genuine happiness.

ArabellaScott · 10/03/2024 07:12

And this I think is where so called 'conversion therapy' legislation is very, very dangerous ground.

Therapy that sets out to only ever affirm is actually risking exacerbating delusion. Baking falsity into the relationship will only amplify the dissonance and confusion.

There's a startling lack of acknowledgement for how the broader culture and climate leads to discrimination against groups on FWR.

Hate crimes do not come out of nowhere; they flourish in a culture which is permissive of lower level hostilties.

We do know this, funnily enough.

Police been useless. They don't want the headache of dealing with the Home
Secretary, Daily Mail etc so are ducking it.

Or it could be that the police aren’t able to charge someone with a crime, if no actual crime has been committed.

Disappointing that such "lovely" police officers should have proven to be so unreliable - insisting on keeping to the law as it is and not The Law As IW Would Like It To Be.

What is it they used to chant? ACAB - that was it.

This is a good point.

If someone deliberately misgendered me, even repeatedly and with malice aforethought, I wouldn't give a monkey's - because I KNOW which sex I am, and don't need external validation of it.

Cismyfatarse · 10/03/2024 07:47

Enjoy this wonderful woman in yellow. Debate starts earlier, but she has IW on the ropes from about 33 minutes. The whole segment is worth rewatching. It is up there with Posie v AH.

Cismyfatarse · 10/03/2024 07:47

Forgot link. 33 minutes.

suggestionsplease1 · 10/03/2024 00:03

Except this is not the case.

You would not get the same tight correlation for pet well-being against trans person well-being in an international cross-country comparison analysis that you would get for women's well-being & trans peoples well-being correlational analysis.

If you think you have this (you do not) go ahead and post your figures.

So you say.

But what you say is meaningless, and your challenge spurious.

"Give em hell"

"I won't give em hell, I'll quote them directly and it will feel like hell"

IW (judging by twitter output of IW) is an unpleasant irritating misogynistic homophobic lackwit. IW's output tells it all. Nobody needs to twist the words or make shit up, it's all there in very plain language.

ArabellaScott · 10/03/2024 08:18

AlisonDonut · 10/03/2024 07:30

Fucking hell, that's several tweets a day directed at, insulting, smearing and deciding JKR.

Everyone who mixes up correlation and causation eventually dies.

It's true.

NotTerfNorCis · 10/03/2024 08:35

Great BezMills, I was just about to post that thread. If India seriously wants to take legal action against JK, India should be aware that all those nasty comments about JK will be considered as part of the context.

HumanBurrito · 10/03/2024 08:35

Rwanda was the first country in the world to have a female-majority parliament (because of the genocide, as noted). It's got a pretty good record as a result, not surprised it ranks highly.

Datun · 10/03/2024 08:42

AlisonDonut · 10/03/2024 07:30

Fucking hell. I'm not on Twitter, so I haven't read all those.

Absolutely desperate goading. And yes, defamation.

And, bloody hell, wasn't India spitting nails about the 70% of trans prisoners!

And that's all in what, the last couple of weeks??

Total obsessive. Scary. Stalkerish.

Reading that and thinking Jesus where would we be without this one powerful, wealthy woman who can defend our rights with wit and intelligence using a few choice words.

NonPlayerCharacter · 10/03/2024 08:44

I truly don't see how anyone could look at all that and not see naked male rage.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 10/03/2024 08:54

AlisonDonut · 10/03/2024 07:30

Good grief!
That's a damning list of abuse from IW.

No wonder suggestions is so desperate to derail the thread.

And then IW has the gall to go crying to the police and then cry about that too, when they tell IW "sorry mate we checked with the boss and we're currently not allowed to put her in the jail for calling you a man"

Datun · 10/03/2024 08:58

What does it say about a male individual who positively begs a woman, known worldwide for her linguistic talent, to engage with him in a written format?

Willoughby couldn't have been more desperate for her attention.

It doesn't make any sense.

Datun · 10/03/2024 08:59

Let's not forget his profile picture is him dressed in exactly the same way as JKR in one photo shoot.

Nooooo!!

ArabellaScott · 10/03/2024 08:18

It is remarkable. You have to wonder at the motivation behind it. Profile building? Rage? Narcissistic breakdown? Willoughby has shown that they are an abuser and this is now indisputable, no matter how Willoughby tries to swing it.

NotBadConsidering · 10/03/2024 09:09

Missing the point, but was that pledge of 70,000 real, and really from JKR?!

I like the way it says “match JK’s pledge of £70,000” 🤣🤣
