Are suggestions and Dadjoke the same person?

😂😂👀

Can we have a separate thread for this report and all the rebuttals?

Then every time it's pulled out it can all go on that thread/links can be shared. Rather than rehashing it all over again.

Sorry! I’d never seen the reports before or previous debates!

My comments were the blindingly obvious flaws I saw following a quick read.. shocking those reports are used in any meaningful way. Still keeps people in jobs I suppose.

Does IW think IWD is a day designed to honour IW?

Same thing crossed my mind

PurpleSparkledPixie · 09/03/2024 17:35

I didn't realise we can appeal against a police force's decision not to procescute now. I wonder how many times JKR can appeal her force's decisions not to take all those death threats to her on SM to court 🤔 or indeed, almost any woman who is on SM. Just think of the backlogs!!

(yes, yes, we all know they send a file to cps who actually do the prosecuting).

LarkLane · 09/03/2024 17:43

Remember when IW said that a lesbian was not a woman? No cops involved then.

And yet someone who managed to father a child claims to be as much a woman as JKR

Police advice to women receiving streams of death threats, rape threats, sexual violence threats, violent threats and abuse is to come off Social Media and just ignore it, nothing to see here.

Possibly, but unfortunately I can well believe there is more than one of them.

Swashbuckled · 09/03/2024 18:01

I like to imagine JKR is collating all this history so she can set her next novel/s in these psychotic times. Even that she’s part way through it. And that she’s bringing about these
clarifications in the law to enable its release.

Imagine; as big as Harry Potter, and steering every reader to see what we all see…

It cheers and comforts me 😊

From what I can gather from their previous posts, DadJoke is a man and Suggestions is a lesbian. So yes, they could well be the same person.

It's always worth noting the type of threads this report is regularly thrown into? It so often derails women speaking it seems. Funny that.

Someone suggested we just ignore - could be very good advice.

borntobequiet · 09/03/2024 18:16

if you were to plot women's well-being and trans peoples well-being on different axes of a graph, and establish a scatter plot of corresponding data points on it, and then create a line of best fit through these points, you would clearly see an excellent correlation between the countries doing well for trans people and those doing well for women.

And if you did the same for, say, domestic pets’ well being and trans peoples well-being, you’d likely get the same, because both are markers of a liberal and affluent society. Tells you - well, not very much.

WickedSerious · 09/03/2024 18:17

Waitwhat23 · 09/03/2024 14:01

In Scotland, where self id has been introduced by stealth, there's evidence that women are being harmed. It seems like every day there's more and more evidence - the most recent evidence suppressed by the Scottish Government regarding the SPS policy being one.

But those pushing self id, don't care. To quote one in particular....

I'm sorry but that skirt.😂

Exactly.

(And I’m still intrigued about how Rwanda did so well in these tables).

There are a lot of willoughbys tweets that could have been recorded as non crime hate incidents, if anyone had reported them.

Rawanda was, for a long while, by a long way, the country with the most women in parliament, and generally running the country.
What a lot of people didn't realise, is that this was as a result of the awful civil-war/Genocide in the 90s - the women literally had to step in and take over because the leading men were dead.

It has steadily grown back into the unequal (in terms of sex) country it was before the genocide

If anyone wants to discuss the Global Gender Gap report, I've made a thread.

Feel free to jump on there and have at it, and that will help to avoid derailing other threads.

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5024934-global-gender-gap-report-2023

That's one I will be avoiding. I'd rather poke my eyes out with a blunt instrument than discuss that bloody document anymore.

But I do appreciate that we can now say - 'there's a thread for that'!

Ah, no.

You have done a very poor analysis if you have arrived at that position.

I'm sure we will all be giving your opinion on what constitutes poor analysis the respect it is due.
