hostile, vitriolic attack

It's always vitriol isn't it, when women speak their minds and disagree.

Never an exchange of views and evidence, always vitriol. I wonder why that hyperbole is deployed so frequently. I've never word search Denton for it, that's an obvious hole.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 09/03/2024 12:19

If anyone personifies vitriolic and hostile it's India W. In spades.

There's a startling lack of acknowledgement for how the broader culture and climate leads to misogyny and the erosion of women's rights by some commenters on FWR. This occasionally looks like they don't care about women's rights.

FTFY. HTH.

You pitch this as if the rights are mutually exclusive.

But as I have said many times before, the countries in the world that are doing best for women are also those that are doing best for trans people.

The countries that score highest for women's wellbeing and parity with men are also the countries which have policies of self ID.

Global Gender Gap Report 2023

The Global Gender Gap Index annually benchmarks the current state and evolution of gender parity across four key dimensions (Economic Participation and Opportunity, Educational Attainment, Health and Survival, and Political Empowerment). It is the long...

And yet the absolutely vitriolic attacks against women by TRA are always glossed over or justified - funny that 🤔

Shall we post all the information that we have found that shows your constant claims to be incredibly weak?

I am more than happy to repost it all. Others probably too will post what they found.

Your claims don’t show what you want them too because that foundation doesn’t actually measure violence against women and the impacts of allowing male people to use female single sex spaces. Or have you forgotten?

334bu · 09/03/2024 12:27

You mean countries like Malta, that bastion for women's rights and the USA with no maternity leave rights and women having to share cells with male rapists. Those countries?

JayAlfredPrufrock · 09/03/2024 12:29

You know what, I’m sick of all this shite.

How come the men pretending to be women make so much fucking noise?

You go right ahead and post 'all that information ' about my "claims' 😁

Out of interest what were these claims of mine? And please don't do the usual thing of misrepresenting me..I expect direct quotes from my posts if you wish to go down that route.

I asked a question in that last post.

Why are the countries that are doing best for women in the world, as evidenced by major studies which are referenced by international governments, women's rights groups, health organisations etc, also ones that have policies of self-ID?

Brainworm · 09/03/2024 12:32

This is a good starting point.....what does 'doing the best' for both groups look like? There compromises are needed from one or both sides, what do they entail?

Like Malta, where they have self ID but abortions are completely banned?

Like the US where some states have self ID but women’s rights are being flushed down the toilet, but Planned Parenthood can’t grow a back bone and clarify who is affected?

It’s really simple. Women need specific rights regardless of how they identify. They can’t exist if people are unable to explain what a woman is. Do you think a woman can avoid pregnancy by identifying as a different gender?

‘Everyone can just have the same rights’ is just old school Men’s Rights activism. We have seen it all before.

JKR has been politically involved in issues where sex is relevant for years - single parents, refuges, orphanages, medicine. Why should she pretend it isn’t? To be polite to an abusive man?

I am about to go out. I will come back and post why your claims that the countries that the world economic forum claims to be the best for women doesn’t compare to what we are pointing out. You claim that women are ‘doing better’ in the countries identified by World economic forum. But when you drill down into what that means it doesn’t show that women are safer and have better health care and a range of things.

You are hiding behind false claims. It has been pointed out to you. But I will go through it all again when I come back. Or will you do your usual and disappear and never actually address the issues that we post? That has been your method the last two times.

Probably something to do with that special bulge reducing underwear they need. Must be very tight and uncomfortable, no wonder they squeal.

Brainworm, the world economic forum measures such things like women in the country’s leadership. Ie. Those who have a Queen or a female PM do very well. Meanwhile, some of those countries have horrendous domestic abuse stats.

Namibia is there and has very high mortality rates for laboring women.

Edited

You can read the definitions that the reports give themselves, but broadly speaking, the Global Gender Gap Report is trying to measure women's parity with men on 4 key dimensions of economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival, and the Women Peace and Security Index is looking at measures of inclusion, justice, and security.

SirChenjins · 09/03/2024 12:46

Are men included in that parity with men?

Froodwithatowel · 09/03/2024 12:48

Merrymouse · 09/03/2024 11:58

Do you not know that IW is quite happy to misgender people with opposing views?

Can you not see that it’s relevant that IW is a man?

Can you not see that you have to allow space for debate and analysis of gender, sex and it’s impact?

This really holds the three key questions.

What about the answers to these? Because to me, the hypocrisy of misgendering being ok when done by the right (powerful) people, the pretending that sex isn't relevant in this case and the denial of space for debate and analysis is very obvious.

The power and benefit is as usual, binary and sex based.

suggestionsplease1 · 09/03/2024 12:50

SirChenjins · 09/03/2024 12:46

Are men included in that parity with men?

If transwomen are included in the figures for any given country they will lower the overall performance for women for that country as we know that they have poor outcomes on all the measures used.

"Inclusion" often ignores the exclusion of vulnerable women who cannot tolerate a mixed sex space and therefore can't use, or who cannot protest against a male being included in their sports without being excluded from said sport. In the latter case, the very inclusion of a man for a spot in a women's contest of any kind must mean excluding an actual woman. Those spaces are limited.

Do they? I’d say that men do pretty well on those fronts.

Are they included?

Feel free to do some research on the education, employment, health, wellbeing outcomes etc for transwomen, you will see the outcomes are consistently lower for this demographic.
