I’ve got good friends in that police force. They’re so fed up with this shit. When a woman calls a man a man, then the man complains, they really don’t give af. They’ve got real life to deal with 24hrs a day
I can well believe it. They have better things to do, more egregious crimes to deal with - people have really been subjected to "literal violence" - but it seems that this trans shite gets priority every time.
I'll bet that to gives the a-holes on the force (because as you say, there are good and bad everywhere) a sense of power and an opportunity to throw their weight around that the others get thoroughly sick of.
I do think that most of our police are a good bunch - they are let down by politics and the really bad apples who hit the headlines. When they do a job and do it well there is no good, praiseful, publicity. When they make an error, the public is down on them like a ton of bricks. They're between the Devil and the deep blue sea a lot of the time.
