Scott also used to be known as Obi Wan Kenobi. This isn't a trans person, and that was very clear to everyone, including those who made the decision not to approve any request to move to a female prison.

Oh right, "wrong sort of trans" then? (Again)

CantFindTheBeat · 29/02/2024 21:04

@VivienneDelacroix

He said he's a woman. He identified as a woman.

Therefore, he's a woman, yes? Or no? What's your measure?

TrainedByCatsToBeScathing · 29/02/2024 21:06

I think it would be better if they stuck with ‘She’ with the photos and rap sheet and highlight the insanity of thinking a man can be a woman

SpicyMoth · 29/02/2024 21:07

MiltonNorthern · 29/02/2024 20:37

No that's Isla Bryson

Ahh ty, I have no clue who this one is then!
The fact that there's so many I can't keep track now is frankly disturbing tbh

@VivienneDelacroix

Tiffany was never going to be moved to a female prison. That was made extremely clear.

Tiffany Scott was cleared as not a risk to be placed in a female prison.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-64438457.amp

It was only the outcry over Isla Bryson that put a spanner in the move.

Thanks Rainbow

I thought I’d remembered wrong. But no.

IncompleteSenten · 29/02/2024 21:10

Oh god get ready for the rabid TRAs claiming evil 'cis'women and our hatred of our masters drove poor Tiffy to 'her' grave.

Of course he's a.woman. Look at his pronouns.

SomeCatFromJapan · 29/02/2024 21:13

One less dangerous man in the world.

Acceptance Without Exception. What makes Pip Bunce or Eddie Izzard more trans than this Tiffany/Edward person?

ArabellaScott · 29/02/2024 21:17

Tiffany was very frightening. And also undoubtedly marginalised and vulnerable.

He is just as much a.woman as any other man who declares himself one.

PolisNonsense · 29/02/2024 21:18

So trans women are trans women until they show themselves to be deviant nasty individuals then they're not?

Is that the party line then?

JellySaurus · 29/02/2024 21:18

Screenshot of the original honesty slip-up:

Tiffany Scott has died in prison
35pEnergyDrink · 29/02/2024 21:26

So … did he kill himself? I can’t tell from the reporting (there is mention of a Fatal Accident Enquiry though)

More likely he died accidentally due to some act of violence he committed based on his profile. Or was beaten to death by other inmate/s. But who knows.

skeletonbones · 29/02/2024 21:32

He also changed his name to 'Mighty almighty' previous to Tiffany, before obi wan. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/furious-prison-guards-forced-call-6061811
oh and 'God Almighty' before that.

This memory-holing of the original form of the article, with the silent changing of pronouns, is fascinating and disturbing to watch being documented on this thread in real-time.

Orwell was prescient.

It's certainly the Scottish Government's party line.

Oh dear, how sad.

I’m sorry but saying things like this is so so rude. This is someone’s relative, friend etc:

Referred to as 'she' throughout the article. Acceptance without exception, though

I wonder how they died too? Just 'nothing suspicious about the death.' Really? A young person in their 30s doesn't die for no reason.

Not that I'm bothered. I don't care about them.

Orwell was prescient.

There was a violent attack one night several years ago in California I think. Masked ninja bloke killed various people.

As it developed turns out the person was trans.

Before my eyes, reports were deleted and by morning, it was a ghost story.

I watched videos of the attack. And yet it now does not exist.

Did you pop up to say the equivalent when Harold Shipman and Fred West died in prison? I personally shed few tears when a violent prisoner dies. I feel sorry and angry for their victims, and also that they may have had awful starts in life and no or insufficient intervention early on. But the person who died in that prison sounds like someone too far gone to be able to return to any normal life. I wonder if Scott had had enough.

Froodwithatowel · 29/02/2024 21:56

It sounds as if it was a daily battle to keep him and everyone else around him from serious injury.
