Tiffany Scott was a man from the day he was born til the day he died. At least women prisoners in Scotland won't have to worry he'll be transferred in with them anymore.

He was quite clearly a man. A violent and dangerous one. There is one less of them now. That's not a bad thing.

Tiffany was never going to be moved to a female prison. That was made extremely clear.

Also every article I've seen has mentioned that Tiffany was born Andrew and was transgender.

They were clearly a very disturbed and dangerous individual.

I wonder if Scott would actually want to be remembered as a 'woman'.

It's not often I'm glad to hear of someone's death, but I am pleased to hear that this very violent, disturbed man is no longer a threat to society - including those in the prison estate.

They don't. In the article the OP quotes there is this paragraph:

How come when he was previously known as Obi Wan Kinobi no one took him seriously but because he identified as Tiffany Scott he was recognised as a woman?

Scott also used to be known as Obi Wan Kenobi. This isn't a trans person, and that was very clear to everyone, including those who made the decision not to approve any request to move to a female prison.

It's the only one, as opposed to - I haven't counted them - but maybe 20 'she's?

They have explicitly refered to him as she throughout the article.

Using his name would have sufficed.

Spot on. Rather like identifying as a cat is ignored but identifying as a woman isn't.

I wonder if that's the name that's going on his tombstone, recorded on his death certificate, and the prison service will record that a woman died behind bars. I expect they'll be an inquest from which nothing will be learned because from the off they've buggered up the basics.

How would anyone know that? I thought acceptance without exception was what was required? Also, that nobody would ever put themselves through the exhausting dangerous business of saying 'I identify as a woman' unless they were sincere?

Well just read through quickly and refreshingly , I didn't see any shes, only "they" "Scott" "the thug" and that lone "he".

Must have been a rapid rewrite. It was all 'she' when I read it a few minutes ago.

The article has presumably been edited. There is not a single 'she' or 'her' in it. One 'he' and otherwise 'they' and 'Scott' throughout.
