JK Rowling has sadly opened her mouth again

How the metro can put out this tweet which effectively suggests a woman shouldn't be allowed to speak is beyond me. Shocked but not surprised. Comments are heartening though, as is the ratio.

That's a fake, I think, Helle.

I'm no expert, but I don't think that tweet is real. The font, kerning, tracking etc look slightly different to JKR's. I'm sorry, I can't bear to root through IW's feed to check. I may be wrong. If I'm right, it's kind of a work of genius...

I hope so.

Helleofabore · 07/03/2024 11:49

I really hope it is a fake. But there is so much posted on Willoughby's time line, checking it is impossible. And I couldn't see it clearly enough to see the signs with my eyes.

Will get it deleted. But seriously an issue if someone's behaviour has been so appalling that this fits the pattern.

I think it's unlikely the police will pursue India's complaint. For a start, they'd have to take India's complaint seriously, and refer it to the CPS, who would then have to decide to prosecute JKR for malicious communications.

I was hoping that India would got for a private prosecution, as the Fuzz are unlikely to take any action other than, "Meh."

Snowypeaks · 07/03/2024 11:55

My guess would be fake. The phrasing of the threats and insults is not in India's style - not self-pitying or bitchy enough. I do't think India would refer to India's "pickled bollox". Or spell it that way. Just my opinion.

Snowypeaks · 07/03/2024 11:56

I see others have concluded the same, though on different grounds.

Can IW start a fundraiser PPPPPLLLEEEASSSEEEEE?!

Froodwithatowel · 07/03/2024 12:19

I will gladly contribute! The entertainment would be SO much more valuable than my tv licence for the year.

Chersfrozenface · 07/03/2024 12:25

I'd contribute, provided I could be sure of getting an enlightening, educational and entertaining court case.

Hayden got a GRC some years back and took to Twitter to say how easy it was if you were organised and had all your paperwork sorted out. I always think of that when TRAs talk about how humiliating and invasive the procedure of getting a GRC is. Those who've never looked into what they're talking about seem often to assume the applicant has to appear before the panel in person and be grilled, but in fact it's all done with forms. The applicant sends in assorted forms, reports, bills etc with a fee far lower than it takes to get a passport (or no fee at all if they're on benefits, I think), someone in a government office checks it's all there and in order, and in due course the panel meet to rubber stamp the application.

There is a requirement for a diagnosis of gender dysphoria. This was supposed to weed out the people wanting to change gender for nefarious purposes. Hmm There are, however, plenty of medical and allied professionals ready and willing to provide the reports required. No requirement whatsoever for the applicant to have had any medical treatment or to be planning to have any. This is not at all widely understood, as far as I can see.

The fee is £5.

I know people who've been through spousal visa and citizenship applications. They cost thousands and involve multiple rounds of paperwork, in-person interviews and tests over several years. The GRC requirement of a doctor's note and some utility bills is trivial in comparison.

❤️ Has anyone else posted this yet? Apologies if so..

It’s def turning..!!

Telling that literally any left leaning ‘GC’ woman has been rejected and turfed out by the lefty newspapers, programmes and political parties. Absolutely disgusting. I think we know which wankers (ahem) are on the ‘wrong side of history’..

MP ROSIE DUFFIELD leads women who refuse to be silenced

ROSIE DUFFIELD: I used to think International Women's Day on March 8 was a positive day. This year, however, I just feel angry.

Russian bots, extreme radicalisation and vichy gays 😂

Just another day inside IW's head

Some male egos are so fragile that they engage in very warped behaviour when faced with a non-compliant woman. Misuse of the legal system to harass and force compliance is one of the twisted things they’ll do. A woman with the bravery and resources to fight back is a wonderful thing to behold.

Lion400 · 07/03/2024 14:41

Sorry not related to JKR or IW, however - look at this. Horner is an unprofessional creep. Everyone sees the evidence. He keeps his job and the woman who complained about him, gets sacked (or however they chose to put) . 🙈

Just another story about men.

I would say this was an appropriate amount. You wouldn't want IW to change mind and then run off with the money. Not that I think IW is a grifter...
