Some of the skeletal difference.

The Ladies pond again

I see we’ve reached the name calling phase.

Prevarication, evasion, insult, blame.

All to avoid answering the unanswerable question of how a man is actually a woman.

Fabulous.

That's nice dear.

That despite this you support a misogynistic men's rights movement makes me wonder what has happened in your life that's made you believe that men should have every wish granted?

PP82 claims to be unaffected by multiple sexual assaults but could it be that her pandering is actually the result of her assaults?

Peskysquirrel · 25/02/2024 13:04

You could also say a team has to field X numbers in each category. Considering the disparity of money in the XY game it would be more equal not less.

I realise you are just putting forward suggestions @sleepyscientist and I don't want to jump on you, but this wouldn't work either. I love watching women's sport because they are women. I love to see people who are the same sex as me at the peak of their physical fitness. I love to admire their skill and stamina, see what they can do, what they can achieve. It's a positive, uplifting thing. I don't want to watch mixed teams (unless I choose to do so).

Dumbo12 · 25/02/2024 13:10

Re mixed sex teams, if self id is allowed, how would anyone be able to work out the ratio of biological men to biological women. In theory a mixed sex team could be made up of entirely biological men.

Brefugee · 25/02/2024 13:10

PP82 · 25/02/2024 12:09

Some mixed events are great to watch- the mixed swim relay, the triathlon relay etc. but they have to be none contact events and the sex balance need to be maintained not blurred by gender. You can't throw a few men, however they identify, into a women's rugby team without putting women at serious harm.

Is the XX only pond nicer, is the mixed sex space colder, is the XY space smaller?

I am XX I identify as an adult human being, XX doesn't define me as a person which is what the current system does. I don't want to be excluded from any space because of my chromosomes. Why did I wait in a 15 minute line to use the bathroom last night just because I display features defined by some people as female, where as my husband who is XY and exhibits features defined as male by society waited 30 seconds? I would have been happy to use the space define as XY but bouncers stopped mixing to satisfy some woman (trust me plenty of use were saying we would use the XY space).

Religion has an ever shrinking space, in society it is a choice to practice it, but we can't restrict other people to have space for those who choose it.

eh?

Sureaseggs44 · 25/02/2024 13:13

there absolutely is an agenda here . When I suggested to willoughby there should be third spaces that anyone could use I was told that was disgusting and like separating black from white . Totally ignoring that I said anyone could use the space who felt comfortable doing so . Then I was blocked . Says it all really .

The men's pond is actually much bigger and nicer; the mixed pond is about the same size and as nice as the women's.

The thing that makes the women's pond so very special and a home from home for us regular users is that it's a female-only space (or was, if you use the original definition of female),which means there's a unique atmosphere of complete relaxation in our physical presence and bodies. It's very much about embodiment and connection with nature.

From what I hear from men who regularly attend the men's pond, their experience is similar.

Brefugee · 25/02/2024 13:14

PP82 · 25/02/2024 12:26

Oh I always use the men's bogs if there's a queue for the ladies. No one has ever stopped me.

well don't. Men deserve to have single sex spaces too

Sureaseggs44 · 25/02/2024 13:16

PP82 · 25/02/2024 12:29

Not just men. I think everyone should be able to live their lives exactly how they want. I always have.

So what is the point of having any laws at all then ?

You had to wait in line because women's toilets are always lacking in number, but also because women have more biologically based reasons to use the toilets than men.

Your chromosomes don't "define you" - but they do dictate your sex. Your sex will have certain types of consequence in your life. Single sex facilities accommodate some of those consequences and provide a level of dignity, privacy, and in sporting competitions - fairness.

I do wonder whether a prolonged campaign of women claiming to be male entering the men’s pond and hanging out with the men might speed things up.

I imagine that this trend will eventually stop when the medical scandal hits and when too many women have been hurt for it to be brushed under the carpet any longer, but taking away something men value is probably the fastest route to success.

And if the male pond doesn’t allow women to bathe there, then it’s a clear case of discrimination.

Yes, particularly if the women just declare they are men.

Because the difference in treatment then is based on sex. Males with gender feelings = special treatment but women not.

Me too...I loved it, and so sent my daughter to an all girls secondary. Girls can focus more on their studies without the distracting presence of burgeoning puberty and gender stereotyping in the presence of boys.

Sport in all girls schools tends to be far more popular too.

Not just men. I think everyone should be able to live their lives exactly how they want. I always have.

You see here we have a problem. That’s your opinion and opinions are not facts. Men can dress like women , live like women ( in their heads) and have whichever partner will have them . But humans can not change sex . There are two sexes . End of .

Also you have an old lady who needs intimate care and she would prefer a woman to prefer that intimate care . A transwoman is allocated .if everyone has the right to live their lives as they want , whose rights trump whose ?

You can't compel me to call myself simply a woman without my consent. Compelled speech!

Oh the irony 🤣🤣🤣

FFS. That was a joke.

Zodfa · 25/02/2024 13:25

The men's toilets are quicker because urinals allow a faster throughput. Truly unisex toilets would only have cubicles and be slower for everybody.

The unfairness is because really women's toilet facilities should always be given more floorspace, not because sex separation exists.

Well, I see my question from pages back, asking why it's Very Bad of us to call men, er, men but totes legit for someone to call us cis women, has, by some slip, gone unanswered. Quelle surprise.

Also, I've never been a member of a 'malevolent hate campaign' before. I need help and guidance about how to go about it.
