We could make the argument there is no such thing as a man - just pre transition women

I think its more than one person, and almost all details and claims are either made up or only apply to one of them or none of them or maybe to someone they know...

I'm one person. I'm a CIS gendered woman in my 40s who's been sexually assaulted many occasions but generally would like to see more gender neutral spaces and think trans women should be able to use the facilities that match their gender identity. I hate 'gender critical' ideology and argue against it because I think it's prejudiced and bigoted. I have a uterus, have been pregnant and am about to start IVF. Yet in your mind it's impossible for all that to be true of one person? Bizarre.

I know you won't believe me but I've not said a single thing on these threads that isn't true. Not one. But feel free not to believe that if your heads can't get around it.

Well you said you weren't a man because you're having IVF, and you also said men can have uteruses. Only one of those can be true. For instance.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 24/02/2024 18:26

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/02/2024 18:24

I am saying that under the EqA, single-sex spaces can include trans women and do unless they are excluded under the legitimate and proportionate exception.

That isn't true. Men aren't included in women's single sex spaces. The exceptions are not just for men who identify as women, they are for all men.

Yeah this. Please cite some case law where a female single sex space was recognised as lawfully excluding men, but not allowed to exclude TW.

WickedSerious · 24/02/2024 18:26

nothingcomestonothing · 24/02/2024 18:23

Prison onset gender dysphoria is a known phenomenon...

Especially if you identify as a rapist.

DadJoke has been trotting the same paragraph out on a few threads over the last few days. I think he just cuts and pastes.

You said that being a man or woman isn’t about biology and that men can have uteruses.

You then slipped up by saying you couldn’t possibly be a man because you’re having IVF.

Ergo, you are lying with one of those statements.

Don’t worry, you’re in good company. Most transactivists mess up now and then. It’s difficult to lie consistently.

Like everyone else in this thread, when it comes down to it, you know what a man is and you know what a woman is. Anyone who claims they really believe some men are women is lying.

I’m not sure why you are lying, or what you hope to achieve, but you gave yourself away.

I've never been raped by a trans woman.

As a previous poster says, how the fuck do you know? They could have a beard, wear hobnailed boots, there is no criteria.

You have zero way of knowing.

But also how would you know if they're Sagittarius, or have a degree, or like Formula One, or enjoy knitting.

Nothing absolutely fucking nothing, precludes a man from saying he's a woman.

Look at Alex, a stonewall representative. Full beard, totally male. Apparently brings out the inner 'lesbian' in his girlfriend

Or these men. One is a man one is a woman, one is, er, neither.

I could be a trans man having IVF. But I'm not. I'm a cis woman.

You don't argue against anything.

You argue on the behalf of men to take whatever they want from women and girls and face no opposition or criticism for it.

Luckily for us you're not very good at it and your arguments are logically inconsistent, deeply hypocritical and in some cases frankly batshit.

Nope, you said:

I'm a man? Better call off the IVF I'm about to start then. Total waste of time

You said that. So you know, in reality, what a man and what a woman is. You just pretend you believe otherwise, but when it was suggested you that you were a man, you used your biology to say you weren't.

Well, of the men that have actually raped me, (as opposed to other types of sexual assault) I think pretty much all were known to me. Being raped by a stranger is incredibly rare. They all lived and identified as men. I guess it's possible some were actually trans and have transitioned since. But they identified as men at the time. When I was raped in a women's toilet, they just opened the door and walked in. (There were two of them.)

WickedSerious · 24/02/2024 18:36

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 18:20

I assumed you were accusing me of being a biological man, not of being a trans man.

Happy to admit most uterus havers are indeed women.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/02/2024 18:37

We see this common idea that you have to have some sort of sign off and permit to have a single sex space. That isn't the case.

Every single female or male only toilet, changing room etc in the country is relying on the same sex based exceptions in the Equality Act. Whether they explicitly let in some men or not (which arguably isn't in itself a legitimate use of the exception, but Stonewall law prevails and has never fully been tested in law). They're not centred on "trans" status.

Equality Act protected characteristic of sex:

Women - female people or arguably men with a GRC, of any age (so obviously only adult trans people)

Men - male people or arguably women with a GRC, of any age

You can remove the word «biological» from your posts now.

Like the rest of us, you know what men and women are. You can stop pretending.

Igneococcus · 24/02/2024 18:46

Being raped by a stranger is incredibly rare.

This is probably because we are cautious of men we don't know. If we'd mix in the same way with strange men as we do with men known to us, I bet the numbers would go up.

Most people are cis gender. It's easy to fall into the trap of saying man to mean cis man and woman to mean cis woman. But there are trans men with uteruses and trans women with penises. Me using woman as shorthand for cis woman was my bad, being non inclusive as a product of living in a prejudiced society. Doesn't mean that no men have a uterus, or that all women do.

ArabellaScott · 24/02/2024 18:48

I've never been cautious around anyone. Why should men's bad behaviour dictate how I live?
