I'm not going to 'get there.'

Male on female sexual violence is a product of the patriarchy. Trans women have a different relationship to patriarchy than cis men.

Yes, I think agree. Men who want to be perceived as women are doing so because their sexual identity is predicated on the humiliation of being a woman. It's the most anti-women, uber-version of patriarchy possible.

I don't trust any statistics from the MoJ.

These are from HM Prison Service. One would hope they have some idea of who they've got, and why.

I predict another 800 or so posts of posters trying to nail jelly to the wall, engaging in good faith, while this poster goes off on another epically tedious merail and demonstrates their complete lack of empathy. I'll pop back tomorrow and see how it went.

If a poster continually spouts rhubarb, it is best to not engage at all.

Arguing with ignorance is like playing chess with a pigeon; no matter how good you are, the bird is going to knock the pieces over, crap on the board, and strut around like it’s victorious.” — Scott D. Weitzenhoffer

This poster has monopolised at least 3 threads in the last few days and merailed them far away from the original topic.

Datun · 24/02/2024 18:17

I honestly don't get it.

Someone who has said they have been subjected, repeatedly, to sexual violence, does not understand that an ideology which provides men with access to vulnerable women would not result in sexual violence.

Or, an ideology that includes men who fetishise women's oppression.

I know we talk, here, about women who haven't quite understood, but, fuck me, there's women who haven't understood, and there's women who have lived under a fricken brick for their whole lives.

I generally agree, and have made the pigeon chess argument to disengage in the past, but this thread is such a masterpiece of the taking down of every fallacious TRA argument that it’s gold for the lurkers.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 18:18

I think its more than one person, and almost all details and claims are either made up or only apply to one of them or none of them or maybe to someone they know...

Nice catch!

Consistency is difficult to maintain when you’re lying.

I know you won't believe me but I've not said a single thing on these threads that isn't true. Not one. But feel free not to believe that if your heads can't get around it.

I've never been raped by a trans woman.

I have no problem believing that you believe the many foolish and illogical things you have said. HTH.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/02/2024 18:21

Especially as "trans women" were always women before "transitioning, apparently

Stonewall law is not the law.

If you think transwomen in a women-only space is not mixed sex, are you saying that you believe humans can change their sex?

I am saying that under the EqA, single-sex spaces can include trans women and do unless they are excluded under the legitimate and proportionate exception. The EqA accepts that aspects of sex can change. That’s what gender reassignment is.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/02/2024 18:22

So any man any one of us comes into contact with in the past could have been a woman and not yet recognised her authentic self 🤷‍♀️

Prison onset gender dysphoria is a known phenomenon...

OvaHere · 24/02/2024 18:24

We could make the argument there is no such thing as a man - just pre transition women. 🤔

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/02/2024 18:24

That isn't true. Men aren't included in women's single sex spaces. The exceptions are not just for men who identify as women, they are for all men.
