Bit bored

What an amazing coincidence.

You know what isn't healthy?

Having been repeatedly raped (as you claim to have been) and yet not being even remotely wary of men you don't know when you are in a state of vulnerability.

If you had developed a healthy caution of men, then perhaps you would not have been assaulted time and again.

No, that's not on.
I really, really disagree with PP82 on pretty much everything she writes, but your last sentence is not on at all.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 17:45

and tho we should not be in hierarchal social categories we are indeed in sex categories.
men are in the sex class 'men' and women are in the sex class 'women' and outcomes and experiances of live are quite different for the different classes

AlwaysGinPlease · 24/02/2024 17:46

Some men have uteruses. Some women don't. I have a uterus and also happen to identity as a woman

How do you expect anyone to take you seriously with that utter fucking nonsense 🤣

Aaah, so it was my fault I was raped as I refused to modify my habits or behaviours. Classic victim blaming. Also what my mother said. I've never forgiven her, but never thought I'd see such sentiments repeated on a so called feminist forum.

Are women wearing short skirts asking for it,?

Mea culpa.

That doesn't make sense.

You identify (if that's the word you meant to use) as something you are not. If you are the thing you don't need to identify as it.

And...Men do not have wombs.

PriOn1 · 24/02/2024 17:48

Incidentally, men have joined menopause groups, miscarriage groups and breastfeeding groups because they fetishise all things women can do that men can’t. I should imagine there are men who would invade IVF threads as well.

So a woman hating woman or a man hating woman. Both are possible. This is the internet. All bets are off…

I agree. I fundamentally reject almost everything you have said on here, but it is unacceptable to blame you for crimes against you. And you are perfectly entitled to draw different conclusions from being assaulted than other victims may have done.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 17:43

no it hasn't, that is a speculation, as is every idea about how our culture developed.
logic and archology suggests to me the idea of sex social rolls would have started initially due to the physical differences men and women have and what that would have meant for the group

Suggests to you. Any actual anthropology to back that up with.

Datun · 24/02/2024 17:50

PP82

Do you understand, or did you even know, that 98% of sex crimes are committed by men. That 90% of violent crime is committed by men.

That doesn't change when they identify as women. In fact, if a man identifies as a woman that the chance of committing one of those crimes goes up, statistically.

Let's go back to the beginning.

Did you know that?

I don't buy your statistics re trans women.

PP82 · 24/02/2024 17:52

AlisonDonut · 24/02/2024 17:23

What are you talking about?

We segregate by sex when it matters, because of male violence.

Not because some of us wear skirts.

Honestly, this is a pathetic showing, do better.

No. Sex segregation comes from outdated notions of modesty and purity. Not out of a historic concern with women's safety

Take that up with the official prison stats from the MoJ then.

I should imagine quite a bit but who knows, the point is its based on logic, some kind of imagined cause and effect, where as you assertion is totally circular and therefore cant explain anything.
sex roles only came about because people thought there should be sex rolls.

Why, why did they think that?

Threads about IVF or threads here where the IVF is mentioned as an aside?

That said, I watched a very sad report recently about a young woman who was raped and killed.

Her friend’s mother was in a relationship with a man who was known to abduct and rape young women. The family lied and said the mother would be there when the two girls were planning a night out, but the mother didn’t come. The rapist went instead.

Predictably, the man raped and killed the daughter’s friend. Even then, the mother lied and gave him an alibi.

There are some truly abhorrent, women hating women out there. I can’t understand them or how they ended up so broken. Perhaps that mother had also been raped and abused to the point she thought it normal and that there was no point in trying to prevent it as well.

Threads about fertility struggles. Way before I set foot on the 'feminism' boards.

At what point of transitioning do you think men stop behaving like other men and become pure of heart?

Well let's just start from that then.

What is it, in your opinion, that makes a man suddenly less likely to commit assault, if he identifies as a woman and can therefore access women's spaces.

(I can give you the statistics, but I think you need to get there in a different way)

I posted articles in this thread that demonstrate the danger women and girls face in mixed sex spaces.

You are wilfully obtuse in your unwillingness to acknowledge any evidence that male people pose a threat to female people.

My own theory is that men wanted to control and isolate women because they wanted to know the babies were biologically theirs. Just my theory though. I'm not an anthropologist.

No one is pure of heart. Women certainly aren't.
