It is a useful message to save and quote when TRAs tell us how unsafe TW are in men’s spaces.

PP82 · 24/02/2024 16:57

FlamingoAndJohn · 24/02/2024 16:52

What? So you’d be perfectly happy with a young girl getting changed in the same space as adult men?

I certainly think no gender segregation is what we should be working towards.

Froodwithatowel · 24/02/2024 16:58

Well YMMV.

You have the option of the mixed sex pond. Have a lovely time. Try having some respect for women who aren't you.

Gender or sex?

In the right circumstances. Getting changed is not inherently sexual. Depends on the venue, and the context.

Dontcallmescarface · 24/02/2024 17:00

PP82 · 24/02/2024 16:30

I don't really think men and women should be segregated. But if they are, women who are living as women should be able to use facilities designated for women.

What does "women who live as women" mean? Woman don't need to live "as women", we ARE women.

PP82 · 24/02/2024 17:00

FlamingoAndJohn · 24/02/2024 16:58

Gender or sex?

Either.

AlwaysGinPlease · 24/02/2024 17:03

@PP82 why? Why no segregation?

Datun · 24/02/2024 17:03

PP82 · 24/02/2024 16:41

I don't believe in prisons in the sense in which they currently exist. A very small number of secure facilities should exist only for the most extremely dangerous and violent offenders. Virtually no women would be in such facilities.

lol, in your world, I bet half of them are!

I posted 2 articles above showing that women and girls experience more sexual assault in mixed sex spaces. You appear to want to ignore that because your ideology is more important.

Most men and boys from puberty onwards find naked or near naked women and girls to be inherently sexual. Only an idiot would deny this.

Datun · 24/02/2024 17:06

PP82 · 24/02/2024 16:57

I certainly think no gender segregation is what we should be working towards.

Women get assaulted in mixed sex spaces.

What do you think is the correct response for someone who is advocating for that?

PP82 · 24/02/2024 17:07

AlwaysGinPlease · 24/02/2024 17:03

@PP82 why? Why no segregation?

Because the idea of sex segregation has only come about because of the socially constructed notion that the biological differences between the sexes mean that we should be in different social categories. We shouldn't be.

Datun · 24/02/2024 17:08

I have to say, I can feel a number being thought about by our visitor.

There will be a number.

A number concerning how many assaulted women is acceptable. To them.

PP82 · 24/02/2024 17:00

No of course it isn’t. But let’s be realistic here.

Very heteronormative of you.

Well if your sex stopped raping and assaulting us, you might have a point. Until then...

FlamingoAndJohn · 24/02/2024 17:09

PP82 · 24/02/2024 17:00

Either.

But they are two different things and entirely the point being made here.
Segregation by sex - yes.
Segregation by gender - no.

OvaHere · 24/02/2024 17:10

PP82 · 24/02/2024 17:08

I said most. Try reading. Female attracted males are still the majority.

PP82 · 24/02/2024 17:08

Not really. Your assumption that 'most' means 'all' sounds a little homophobic to me.

nothingcomestonothing · 24/02/2024 17:11

Blimey, I've almost filled a whole bingo card in the space of 5 pages of this thread. It's so helpful for lurkers and those new to the discussion, when TRAs grace us with their presence.

<Crosses fingers that PP says 'right side of history' soon so I can get a full house>

No. It’s come about because men rape women. Segregation by sex happens in just about every single society across the globe. Every faith, every tribe, every community, every nation.

Datun · 24/02/2024 17:13

Anyway, PP82, do you have an answer to my question?

Women get assaulted in mixed sex spaces.

What do you think is the correct response for someone who is advocating for that?

Datun · 24/02/2024 17:09

I'm a man? Better call off the IVF I'm about to start then. Total waste of time. You'd have thought the doctors would have told me.

Just a hunch.

Datun · 24/02/2024 17:16

Just a hunch.

Very convenient for you to believe no biological woman could ever disagree with you.
