Because the idea of sex segregation has only come about because of the socially constructed notion that the biological differences between the sexes mean that we should be in different social categories. We shouldn't be.

No. It’s come about because men rape women. Segregation by sex happens in just about every single society across the globe. Every faith, every tribe, every community, every nation.
