I'm all for acknowledging women's oppression and smashing the patriarchy, but that is deranged.

This is a bit rich given everything you've said on this thread.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:21

not to mention non lethal and sexual violence

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:23

Women have been the most disadvantaged group in every society? In the antebellum South? In Nazi Germany? In modern Britain women are more disadvantaged as a group than the asylum seekers languishing on the Bibby Stockholm? I'm all for acknowledging women's oppression and smashing the patriarchy, but that is deranged.

so what your saying is cause the nazis murdered jews and slavery existed the oppression of women is aok?

PP82 · 24/02/2024 15:24

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:20

if women were a race or nationality the un would declair a genocide. google how many women are killed every day

I'm well aware but you're being simplistic and oppression takes many forms. White women in particular have many types of privilege and we all know what happens when they leverage their supposed fragility to demonise and criminalise others.

None of this is to deny the reality of sexual violence or to diminish women's experiences.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:26

do we? do we all know what happens? or is that some bullshit that was made up recently to justify the unjustifyible

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:26

everything you have said is to deminish womens experiances

No. Just that to claim that you are part of the most oppressed group in every society ever, and therefore can never possibly be guilty of oppressing others, is false.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:27

and oppression

I'm thinking of how white women's fragility has been weaponised against black men. But if you draw any parallels on here, that makes you a racist. That accusation incoming...

wincarwoo · 24/02/2024 15:29

@PP82 you can Google it.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:30

not what I said tho
overall through human history women have been the most oppressed. there have been times when other groups have also been serverly oppressed, sometimes even exceding the oppression of women.
but overal women have been and still are the most oppresse group in humankind
gender idology would be a side note in a joke book if not for the fact women dont matter in our society

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:31

im not white so by your logic i literally cant be racist

also im not racist

Seems to work for transactivists.

I never said you were. I said I recognised some of the tactics by the GC in terms of weaponising white women's supposed fragility as similar to those used against black men, particularly in the USA but in other places too.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:35

bullshit

saying humans cant change sex has nothing to do with holding all men accountable for their rapes (if they have raped anyone obvs)

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 15:36

nothing you come out with stands up to even the most superficial scrutiny.
its a house of cards held together with mysogny

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 24/02/2024 15:44

PP82 · 24/02/2024 14:37

No I'm not. I'm just disagreeing with you. Being oppressed does not give the right to oppress or exclude others.

Saying that, while arguing for men to access the tiny number of spaces reserved for women, really is the chef's kiss of hypocrisy.

It really is.

PriOn1 · 24/02/2024 15:55

Being oppressed does not give the right to […] exclude others.

What never? So is your argument that women can’t exclude men from their spaces?

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 24/02/2024 15:55

This whole argument is based on the ludicrous premise that a man loses all the privileges of being male when he chooses to claim that he is a woman. The epitome of this was the TW judge comparing their situation to Rosa Parks. Do me a fucking favour.

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 16:00

that judge said gender was biological, but a poster on here says its was not biological?
Im confused, is the idology that gender is biological or is not biological?

Ohnohedident · 24/02/2024 16:01

maybe its non binary, its both and neither.
not binding adhearents to making sense

“When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’

’The question is,’ said Alice, ‘whether you can make words mean so many different things.’

’The question is,’ said Humpty Dumpty, ‘which is to be master — that’s all.”

I don't think gender is biological. I have no idea what others think. Apart from some general LGBT stuff I've never been involved in any trans activism. I'm just in a discussion on a website. Opinions are my own and all that.

Do you really think that everyone who disagrees with you is part of some centrally coordinated effort?

Used to live near the women's pond and swam there for many years.

On one memorable occasion a peeping Tom was discovered hiding in the bushes. A group of the fiercer lesbians chased him out and beat him up.

Now there is no need for the peeping Toms to hide and women have no right to challenge them.

Ooh yes I think that happened when I used to swim there.
I wanted to take my teenage dds there when in London but I am not taking them while it allows in men, or according to pp men who are not men as they want to be women.
