I'm delighted to have received notification from the CPS via Surrey Police that following my arrest in October 2022 and then again in April 2023, I will not be prosecuted for either malicious communications or harassment.

The CPS consider that the evidential test has not been met.

I am however still being sued for "misuse of private information" and I am very well aware that the complainant will inevitably exercise their right to review the CPS decision so I will say no more, at this stage.

We don't know the cop's name as CF hasn't released it. Keep yer powder dry and all that.

I'm interested also in what the Commissioner had to say.

When all the attempts to discredit/criminalise Caroline have ground to a halt, which they will, and it is her turn to call many people to account, I'm sure we will have names.

The final season of this drama is going to be well worth the wait (and the subscription fee).

In between PC Useful and the Police & Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend there were many steps that had to be gone through in order that the PCC ended up briefed with PC Useful's writing of the narrative.

Lisa Townsend might not be my cup of tea (politically) but she is nobody's fool. Except, well ... maybe it looks like she possibly is.

So how it all came about is intriguing.

PCs do not brief PCCs. Only very senior officers and the Chief Constable (and their other advisers) brief PCCs. It's the chain of command in the middle that has some explaining to do. Who convinced who of what; and how did it pass up the chain?

Is there a crowd funder?

Lisa is a good egg, Crispin Blunt tried to remove her from her post recently. I should imagine she has to rigidly stick to the rules of her role.

So who, between the rank and role of PC Useful and her Chief Constable, bolloxed this up for her?

It’s really important for Caroline to keep the power in this. We shouldn’t try and push things. She knows what’s what, and will surely shout when it’s time.

Caroline has probably had the sense to change all her passwords after the police taking all her tech, who knows what will have happened while devices were out of her control.

No idea of Lisa Townsend's politics but she is not doing a good job of holding the Sorry Police to account. This was a massive waste of public money and that time and effort could have been used where they have other failings. What is the point of a PCC if they dont hold the police to account?

As for the Australians - if that case was defended I imagine they would make much of the idea that a website hardly anyone has heard of and that is really difficult to find can hardly cause much reputational damage even if it does contain factual inaccuracies. Some people really make a great effort to seek out something to be offended by.
