Header should read
URGENT CURRENT CASE - Public Access Request - J Phoenix - The Open University - 3322700/2021

I wonder if witness really has covid or just IDs as having covid. No way to know really, since they're the same. (biology not mattering etc)

RocketPanda · 17/10/2023 16:47

I have visions of DD going into court like darts players do their walk on to the music, highfiving and fistbumping as she makes her way to the seat.

😂or maybe a boxer, throwing jabs as she goes.

Wearing her dressing gown with the hood up.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 17/10/2023 16:50

Just catching up again.

Can someone share the bingo card again - is "during Pride" on it? And "so near to Pride" adds to this sanctimonious twattery. When is a lesbian allowed to talk GC? Not during Pride, not near to Pride, not before, not after... Shades of the cookie bear - not now, not ever, not never.

BC: Let's test that answer.

Words to strike terror into the stoutest heart.

CriticalCondition · 17/10/2023 16:51

ickky · 17/10/2023 16:48

They could give her access to the electronic bundle, but they prob won't.

IIrc the electronic bundle has different numbering and doesn't include all the documents. So what could possibly go wrong?

ickky · 17/10/2023 16:52

I think it is only 2 pages out of alinement, not like the other unmentionable bundle.

OP posts:
LarkLane · 17/10/2023 16:52

I tried to physically draw up a bingo card over the weekend, but it now resembles a toilet roll of excuses. All that is missing is: " the dog ate it".

AFieldGuideToTrees · 17/10/2023 14:50

BC: I am interested in the quality of your memory Prof W..

😆😆😆😆😆

Bc has been fantastic today 😂

Sisterpita · 17/10/2023 16:54

@RobinStrike I think it was KS yesterday afternoon but my memory is hazy. It was definitely one of the witnesses yesterday. I am not sure if TT picked it up, BC said something like that’s not what you said in the interview and he responded with something like I wasn’t under oath then. I thought Wow and posted that yesterday at 14:17.

LarkLane · 17/10/2023 16:55

Grand job everyone keeping us up to date with proceedings today. You must be tired, but you are so very much appreciated by the rest of us. Many thanks.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 17/10/2023 16:55

Even unwell, he's still dynamite.

Froodwithatowel · 17/10/2023 16:56

pronounsbundlebundle · 17/10/2023 16:46

But Jo is a lesbian, is Pride no longer for her? (I know the answer as far as this bunch of ideologues are concerned)

Only if she's the Right Kind of lesbian (and nice ones don't call themselves lesbians, which is a dogwhistle suggesting they might have a thing about wanting to do women only, nice ones say they are queer), having just seen the thing about the definition of Queerphobia on another thread. Refusing to validate someone's identity with your body by having sex with them on the grounds that you're homosexual and they are in fact the opposite sex, is queerphobic and transphobic in this interesting faith system.

That this is homophobic and ethically/morally beyond dubious is apparently a much lesser sin.

CriticalCondition · 17/10/2023 16:56

If they do decide to take evidence from the covidy witness remotely I hope they get her to take a live on screen COVID test, a la airline lockdown requirements.

pronounsbundlebundle · 17/10/2023 16:57

DD2 told me where to find the thermometer. 38.4. I'm sure I can identify my way out of that... or just you know, rely on paracetamol.

This whole thing feels like the bizarrest fever dream so it seems a strangely appropriate state of physical health to listen in with.

I'm not the witness with Covid by the way.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 17/10/2023 17:03

I reckon she'll definitely do 'the voice'. 😂

Is the Judge insinuating that the witness is chucking a sickie??

nzborn · 17/10/2023 17:04

"the dog ate it "was something I thought about but it seemed too far out of this universe of possibilities. maybe I was wrong

Melissamelisante · 17/10/2023 17:07

Thanks for all the coverage everyone. Keeping everything crossed for admittance tomorrow for DD cross examination. Lots of exploring the answers please, BC!.

WFTCHTJ · 17/10/2023 17:08

Mmmnotsure · 17/10/2023 12:57

LM: didn't say that

BC: That's your words

LM: no it's not

BC: yes it is, in your statement
😂

Catching up and still several pages behind, but got a massive case of deja vu with this. Who was it that fell into that trap earlier in the week?

RethinkingLife · 17/10/2023 17:11

I'm thinking of JP,

  • post spinal surgery and grieving for her recently deceased mother
  • dealing with all this, alone, isolated by her colleagues, unsupported by the OU and experiencing an orchestrated pile-on.

And those colleagues who are

  • profoundly convinced of the true nature of their moral compass despite the underhand nature of some of their activities
  • having such profound difficulty withstanding a comparatively brief period of scrutiny from BC, while substantially supported by the OU and their other colleagues.

I'm doing my best to #BeKind and think that I would probably deem some of OU colleagues to be admirable, estimable, and good citizens if I came across them in another capacity. Right now, however, I'm horrified by the selective memory and nature of their compassion and, frankly, it does make me question their research skills and integrity.

Dr Downes and her wanting to give a 'loud voice' to the open letter.

Gagagardener · 17/10/2023 17:15

Thank you very much, everyone. Horrifying and fascinating. Complete plonkers, every last one. Jo: we are rooting for you.

I hate 'the voice'. My husband drags himself around the house in his dressing gown of doom, croaking weakly away (even it's got nothing to do with his bloody throat), taking to his bed and demanding sips of iced water and heinz tomato soup with bits of buttered Warburton in it.

(I should add that he is an excellent husband in all other ways and is as GC as I am but FUCK the voice annoys me).

Voylio · 17/10/2023 17:24

OhBuggerandArse · 17/10/2023 11:40

Oh that is interesting to hear - I've been avoiding getting drawn into our team (have done a submission before and it nearly broke me) but would be more open to helping if this was the case. Can you point me towards any info?

oh no looks like I over extrapolated 😞. They recently were forced to start looking at sex again as it is the relevant protected characteristic in the Equality Act (not gender). But looking at the most recent guidance AS have got round this by simply adding in more protected characteristics to be able to still focus on trans people - so the PCs they now focus on are sex, pregnancy and maternity… and gender reassignment.
