Some people will see the headline “Conservative conference fringe event” and automatically think Tories! Right-wing! Nasty! However, it’s a reasonable article - not fawning, but not a hit job either. It’s more sunlight for the gender-critical debate. If it encourages more people to sit up and take note, it can only be a good thing.
As I’ve said previously on MN, Graham’s Twitter page seems strangely ranty and obsessive to the unpeaked. It was only after hearing him speak on a podcast, sounding measured, clear, fair and articulate - that I really understood where he was coming from. I’m glad he was given this platform and the BBC have reported on it.
For the benefit of lurkers, Graham’s motivation doesn’t come from hating trans people, but from recognising that allowing gender ideology to infiltrate every aspect of life is harmful to women and children. I’m looking forward to reading his book and I hope this is the start of his uncancelling (if that’s a word).
