I'll add lesbians and bisexuals to that list, though. Bit shitty to leave them out, imho.

MavisMcMinty · 19/09/2023 19:35

We know gay people exist, and we are not the ones trying to “trans the gay away”, as GIDS clinicians “joked” in Hannah Barnes’ book Time to Think. Have you read that yet, @LizaBizza ? It’s very good, very illuminating, very shocking.

LizaBizza · 19/09/2023 19:40

IcakethereforeIam · 19/09/2023 19:25

So, to state the bloody obvious.

In an ideal world, yes.

Given what the gender critical in the link said, apparently not unfortunately.

Ooh whoops, Liza you forget about the L and B?

ArabeIIaScott · 19/09/2023 19:48

I think Liza is here in a What about the Menz capacity.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/09/2023 19:48

Perhaps you should get out of your bubble?

'the gender critical' - note the casual dehumanisation.

Here's an article on what I posted a couple days ago

https://www.thepinknews.com/2023/09/19/gender-critical-australia-trans/

You know Dublin isn't in Australia right?

"dehumanisation"

oh you mean like casually saying "it's a shame the trans person didn't die on the op table"?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/09/2023 19:51

Who on this thread said that then? Best report them.

ArabeIIaScott · 19/09/2023 19:51

Well, no. That's a horrible, nasty thing to say, but it's not dehumanisation. Dehumanisation means stripping a person of their humanity. It's a specific word with a specific meaning.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/09/2023 19:55

Had to go to.....Australia was it(?) to find some nutter to use to have a go at Irish women speaking.

I'm just here to leave a friendly reminder that gay and trans people exist, and their lives matter :)

Who do you think believes they don't exist or that their lives don't matter?

If I didn't think trans people existed then I would probably spend a lot less time worrying about which prisons they are housed in and what sporting categories they are competing in.

Aah here you are! Still floating about the boards not giving any examples of transphobia. I'm sitting with my feet up, waiting patiently...

RocketPanda · 19/09/2023 20:39

I made some PIE today. Apple and plum if anyone is interested.

VaddaABeetch · 19/09/2023 20:56

No rhubarb??? I really want some rhubarb pie. I’ll take apple though.

You have just reminded me that I have some rhubarb in the freezer. Maybe I will make a rhubarb pie tomorrow.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/09/2023 21:01

Or a crumble!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 19/09/2023 21:02

Oh yes. And much easier to make than pastry.

Waitwhat23 · 19/09/2023 21:03

I made rhubarb vodka. I can't try it as I don't like rhubarb but I am told it is 'like drinking frigging juice'.

I can imagine it going quite well in a rhubarb pie.

Well, I guess we start posting some of the horrific things said by prominent trans people about women .

So, as a comparison, these are all published and verified as quotes from these male people who are recognised as trans spokespeople, not a random woman from Ballarat who said something abhorrent and had the microphone removed from her. These male people are proud of their contributions, quite a number have gone through editorial processes and all.

I mean, this is a start, I am happy to continue to post more there is quite the endless stock of them.

I have rhubarb in my freezer, I am going to make wine 🍷

Noone says that shit on here. Try harder, you never know, the effort might improve your critical reasoning.

RealityFan · 19/09/2023 21:23

...on the other hand, "punch a TERF in the fucking face!", yes, that's said on the TRA side. And much worse besides.

Again, zero critical reasoning skills.

Waitwhat23 · 19/09/2023 21:35

This for example?

The ones smirking in front of that sign are -

Kirsten Oswald MSP, the Shadow SNP Spokesperson (Equalities), and Shadow SNP Spokesperson (Women).

And

Kaukab Stewart, who is a member of the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee.
