I am looking forward to finding out the law that could have been used to exclude specific men listening to the Let Women Speak speeches when they didn’t cause any disruption or threaten any harm.

Yes arabella it seems to be bizarre behaviour that seriously detracts from the credibility of the poster.

It is clear that there is a deep prejudice held by the posters who have attempted this. That prejudice is that Mumsnet is a place to hate on women who disagree with you and make the absurd outrageous accusations.

Must be making posters feel good. But it also must be embarrassing to be shown that it is you, the poster making accusations, that lacks the ability to make reasoned, evidenced and logically sound arguments and that it is you, the poster making accusations that is the narrow minded and incoherent one.

I will never agree that giving a platform to racism. homophobia or any type of hate speech is ok.

You see there are very sound arguments to be made against racism and homophobia so we don't actually have to shut them up. However your belief in a medical intervention with a 60% failure rate that is practiced on healthy bodies to cure mental problems, is quite a hard one to defend.

It is a free country at which people are permitted to turn out in public places; and as long as they are not breaking the law - that is within their right. Nobody gets to say who can and cannot turn up.

To be quite frank I've been quite disgusted, over the years, at the behaviour of those that turn out in direct support of your supposed cause. People wearing balaclavas; kicking doors and windows; storming buildings; shouting abuse; banners suggesting people hang themselves; women assaulted..........Do you stand with this?

So if by fascists attending a rally makes those at the rally fascists what does MAPS ( 🙄) attending a parade make those at the parade?

You tell me. You seem very vocal and have come to this board specifically to berate people here.

You've no idea aboiut the many people who post here. The lives they have led; the issues they have been concerned with; the movements they have been involved with; the politics they hold.

I can almost guarantee, though, many have been doing these things far longer than you have.

If you support the counter protesters then you are supporting those who are anti - women.

Those who are against women having our own single sex spaces, our own language, our own legal definition free from men.

Those who seem to think a gathering called 'Let Women Speak' is so terrifying that it must be stopped at all costs.

It just so happens, that many different groups of people; many different individuals all seem to agree that gender identity ideology is regresssive and destructive. That is how democracy works. People of varied backgrounds get to speak out, or listen to, debate around contempoarray and contentious issues.

It’s very strange to tell people not to stand next to other people in case they might be bad people.

I see Victorian values have returned on this thread with women scolding, women shaming and repeated demands for women not to associate with (be in the same vicinity in public) with unsuitable men. And that's making no mention of the misogynists screaming abuse at women under their Putin flags.
Their determination to control and silence women seems to know no bounds.

I do hope though that eventually a poster will post the Irish law that women could use to have any man who they disagree with from standing in an open public place listening to them speaking when they have done nothing disruptive or potentially harmful.

And women spoke!!! Knowing that there maybe men in the audience who, if they knew their opinions on some disconnected issues, those women may or may not disagree with.

But apparently, women should not attend any event if there is a chance that they might attend with someone with reportedly abhorrent opinions. Stay at home wims!!

Oh… and never organise any event that you cannot control the audience for wims, despite not being able to exclude any male people without another group protesting and likely to be intimidating you!
