Eddie Izzard running for Labour MP in Brighton

This is my local constituency so I have Tweeted Eddie asking if women in Brighton & Hove can rely on Eddie's support in our bid to secure the option of single sex rape crisis therapy.

In fact whoever is running for Labour in Brighton ought to answer this question for you, Sarah.

I am not in Brighton so can't ask myself but if you can keep us updated I'd like to share the response you get with my own Labour MP?

This is the perfect opportunity to see whether Labour was just bullshitting women in order to get their vote.

This issue touches me too, and I imagine I'm not the only ex Labour member watching very carefully right now.

It seems unlikely that he supports single sex spaces given he uses women's spaces himself.

I am sure the majority of voters don't believe traumatised women should be forced to share their rape crisis therapy groups with males. With my case coming up it will be difficult for Eddie to swerve questions on this.

Starmer's worst nightmare if he gets selected. So much for putting this issue to bed, it'll become part of the circus of a general election. Probably cost labour a few marginal seats when Eddie's on TV justifying why he uses the Ladies.

He ignored me and so far has ignored the Tweet.

I know it might be entertaining if Eddie were elected but it would be a disaster for women in the constituency.

He'll have to start replying to his emails, then. I've contacted him loads of times to find out his opinions on policy matters.
Never heard a word back, and I don't know anyone else who has.
He's utterly useless as a politician.

Our MP is conservative and takes about 6 months to send a copy and paste reply to an email, he is pretty useless as well.....not that I'd swap him for Eddie or Suzy or whatever his name is on any given day
