India was delighted on Twitter that the hospital band India was wearing said ‘female’.

I hope for India’s sake that India’s doctors understand biology and should India need a transfusion of blood that India does not receive blood from a female who has previously been pregnant.

Is India ashamed of being a male woman or something? India denies that India is trans, right? So why should anyone listen to India about trans issues - they're obsessed with genders having matching bodies.

Also, racist.

Sadly I think it's going to take a high profile person being treated where it goes badly wrong for the NHS to start putting sex over gender.

Maybe an entry in the Darwin Awards?

Just one of the many, many reasons to repeal the GRA, remove the legal fiction and have official records officially record* reality. Silly things like this just feed the delusion that humans can change sex.

It's a meant to be kind lie. No one believes it, they're just saying it soothingly. It isn't real.

This is why it is so bloody cruel to enable people in these beliefs. Reality is a bastard and you cannot word is away.

All India's wristband proves is that India has had the relevant field altered on the NHS records. They do that for anyone who requests it (dangerously stupid IMHO, but there we are).

I could do the same and have 'male' on my hospital wrist band. It wouldn't mean I'd actually changed sex. But I'm not that ridiculous. And I have more regard for my health.

Yes people can have blood from someone who has had children. What the OP is half talking about is blood plasma from XX (regardless of pregnancy) which isn't really used for anyone as it's has a higher likelihood of containing antibodies to the recipients red cells. UK plasma is XY sourced as they don't get exposed to foreign tissue in the form of foetus.
