Not sure this is the ‘win’ India thinks it is

India was delighted on Twitter that the hospital band India was wearing said ‘female’.

I hope for India’s sake that India’s doctors understand biology and should India need a transfusion of blood that India does not receive blood from a female who has previously been pregnant.

The vile tweets India Willoughby is posting regarding Martina Navratilova have got to put India at risk of being sued. Stating Martina is not a female etc etc. IW is coming across as an unhinged fool. ANY TV PRODUCERS inviting IW on to mainstream TV shows should look carefully.

'The lie that men can be women' is hate speech is it?

I'd quite like to see that one tested in court.

PorcelinaV · 18/07/2023 16:26

I don't think it's going to be tested in court because as far as I know there is no civil law against "hate speech".

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 18/07/2023 16:28

The sheer misogynist nastiness in India’s tweets is a sight to behold. What a piece of work they are.

Froodwithatowel · 17/07/2023 21:28

Oh love 😥

It's a meant to be kind lie. No one believes it, they're just saying it soothingly. It isn't real.

This is why it is so bloody cruel to enable people in these beliefs. Reality is a bastard and you cannot word is away.

India doesn’t get it do they. That arm band is the trans equivalent of the sticker a kid gets for being stoic for an injection, or the funky coloured plaster cast covers they let kids choose to distract them from their broken bones.

”India was a very bwave girl today” Yaaaay!

There's something very masculine about it.

There's something very masculine about it.

Exactly that. They have a belief that being female/women boils down to appearance. As if females have no substance. Warped and deluded thinking.

Can a male not have blood from a previously pregnant woman?

No. It causes problems as the blood of a woman who has been pregnant is significantly changed from that of a woman who has not been pregnant.

NotAMissionPriority · 18/07/2023 17:17

To be consumed by cats sounds quite nice to me.

If India heaven forbid should develop prostate issues in the future what will India do? Would India acknowledge her male body and seek the appropriate treatment or would India continue with the delusional thinking that India is more female than biologically born females?

Yes, exactly. Has India's prostate been removed..... As naive as it sounds I'm shocked the NHS can change biological description from 'male'. Wouldn't 'Transwoman-male' be more accurate. I really feel for India's son.

Froodwithatowel · 18/07/2023 18:12

Is there any transwoman who is not male? It's the one sole requisite characteristic. No one who is not biologically male can ever be a transwoman.

And whatever surgical or hormonal adaptations a male person makes to their body, they can only become a surgically and hormonally adapted biological male. They are expanding the bandwidth of male biological variation and that is all that is possible.

EpicChaos · 19/07/2023 00:37

Of course what he didn't point out was, that in the bed opposite, is Napoleon, whilst in the bed next but one resides Elvis and Norman Bates is currently trying on a new jacket in the next bay.
His barcode incidentally, says past it's best by date so 23 and a half pence, no returns!

WallaceinAnderland · 19/07/2023 15:36

WTF is this tweet about. Do words like biology mean different things now too?

What I would like people like IW to answer is this:

Is there a difference between men and woman -

Answer no - please explain why anyone transitions

Answer yes - please explain what the difference is

MavisMcMinty · 19/07/2023 15:40

I wish India was here on Mumsnet to explain how we’re doing feminism so wrong. I think India would enjoy it, and I know I would.

more like, "a 57 year old man came in reporting a severely bruised cervix. we're keeping him comfortable pending a psych evaluation".

Madamecastafiore · 19/07/2023 15:44

Does that mean they won't get checked for cancers/illnesses which mainly or only affect men or will they still want those privileges as well?

I asked a transwoman on twitter once whether I, as someone born female, could actually identify as a transwoman. Apparently I can! The whole gender identity belief system is so outside of reason and logic that you have to conclude that material reality just doesn't exist for some of them.

Beowulfa · 19/07/2023 16:00

I'm enjoying imagining global icon Martina asking her PA who this shouty India character is:

A retired sportsperson? No.
A sports scientist then? No.
Someone famous in the UK? Not really....was a newsreader apparently?
Oh, on the BBC? No. Regional news, in Cumbria. A few years ago.
So what is their job then? Um...

Mixed ward. Hmmm. That could be complicated

Well, it probably wasnt a mixed ward until India stamped their size nines and demanded a bed. The special one by the window, with more pillows, and a new blanket………..

I think that nails it.

It is an inability to live in material reality. Where mental health means your capacity to cope with reality as it is.

Which is all very well until someone with this problem starts demanding that you provide uninterrupted LARP of their personal reality regardless of its impact on you and the rest of the world. We're still flapping about in 'yes, but don't upset him' territory, where I'm afraid we're reaching the point of yes, having to have boundaries even if it causes tears and rages.

loislovesstewie · 19/07/2023 16:13

Could anyone explain India's twitter rant as above? I don't understand any of it!

Froodwithatowel · 19/07/2023 16:14

And I have done the going into the room of someone with severe dementia at four am when they tell me what I'm to buy for their husband's dinner, which kids to collect from school and when, and what jobs in the house they need me to do, or most memorably from one lady I was very fond of, a demand to marry her quick because her baby had to have a father.... and always would soothingly play along because why cause distress and panic to someone in that situation uneccessarily, particularly when they would not retain the information and their current thoughts would often be somewhere very different half an hour later. That was kind enablement in their best interests.

This is trying to sneak in as the same thing, and it isn't. Nor am I employed as a carer or therapist for each individual demanding that as a stranger I drop everything and join them as an NPC in their personal world.

MassiveWordSalad · 19/07/2023 16:26

One of India's tweets above -

We all know Martina is just Martin with an ‘a’ tagged on - right? Most obvious choice when transitioning

Is massively transphobic. India doesn't see the irony of questioning Martina's sex at all, does he? Martina, who was was the butt of so many pathetic jokes about her appearance and sexuality throughout her career.

I means, one could comment about him choosing the name 'India' but that would be fucking childish.

I can see a fake tan line......

I think you’ll find that it’s a real tan line, in fact India’s tan is even better than a natural tan because India has had to work harder to have a tan than some woman who has just sat out in the sun, because India has had to buy India’s tan in a shop and applied it at home.

Leah5678 · 19/07/2023 16:55

I'm very confused I read the entire post thinking it was about the country India. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I should go drink more coffee
