But also seems like the rumour may have originated from SJB's "girl friend" (in quotes as again this is just in a tweet). And if this is the origin of the rumour maybe little more than trying to create a twitter storm and / or showing how "unkind" terfs are?!

I must say I was shocked by the brutality of Baker’s crimes, as described in the Mail article. I would never have let him out.

There was a tweet about a 'trial' later this month. Was that written by this 'girlfriend'? I expect Girlfriend is using the wrong term and it's a hearing, not a trial, and it's determining SJB's immediate future, so fingers crossed for some common sense.

Over and above the rumours, when looking at the actual event and what happened afterwards, that more than anything illustrated that a two tier system is being operated by the police. Or there is no police policy and it all comes down to whoever is on call on the day.

But in a compage and contrast ie mother being dragged from her home, a woman who is a wheel chair users dragged off to a police station in the middle of the night without her medication, a woman told to appear for a police interview because ONE person has complained about something on the internet.

Any one get the feeling that even in 21st century somehow men's rights are seen as valid, but women's aren't?

I can't remember what current MOJ policy is on 'trans' prisoners, but SJB certainly highlights brilliantly the case of a male who is missing part of his anatomy but still is incredibly violent, dangerous & sadistic, so should never be anywhere near vulnerable women in prison. (Or the staff who have deliberately chosen to work in a female prison as the inmates are less violent.)

I understand SJBs original, horrific crime involved a sexual assault/oral rape of the victim. Would this not make him a sex offender for life? Certainly I'd hope this is factored into the risk assessment.

He may well rape in a male prison too, as his victim was male but quite frankly that's for the male prison service to deal with.

This is even more proof that the TRAs need to drop their ridiculous hate figure of ‘the terf’ which is just a construction to allow them to punch down at women, and focus on the people who are actually doing harm to transwomen, homophobic men.

The victim was wrongly thought to be a transwoman, and it's believed transphobia was the motive.

The point being transphobia and the fear/hatred of transpeople can cause non-trans women to be harmed.

Killing someone because you think they are transsexual IS transphobia, and we'd all condemn it.

Recognising that a male person is male and saying they should not take part in women's sports is not transphobia. And the more people keep claiming it is, the less calls of transphobia are taken seriously.

Your story sounds very unlikely and I doubt the motive as guessed at in the article is correct (based on all the other detail in the article) - but what is factual is that a woman was killed by a man.

Interestingly though, a lot of attacks on transwomen (by men, obvs) are often probably homophobic rather than anti-trans, with slurs based on homophobia used.

And back to the monster in this thread ... I hope they get a long recall back to jail (male).
