I have seen it quoted on here for many years that Tunnocks are to be supported as they support women's rights. I have looked on their website and social media and can see nothing to support this rumour. Does anyone have any evidence? Thanks.

Waitrose didn't disappoint.

I went to Waitrose in Eldon Square (Newcastle) on Friday and was disappointed to see that they've closed.

Good old Waitrose.
I do live in hope of Gluten free versions, but I suppose that would mean Tunnocks getting them manufactured elsewhere.
I find a snowball layered on top of a GF Chocolate digestive biscuit makes a good sub for a tea cake .

Look at the innards of this thing of beauty. The clean lines of that diamond patterned wafer. I like to try and separate the layers. It doesn't tend to be successful.

In London today we went in the Harry Potter shop and bought two pairs of earrings for my daughters. They are a present from their little brother so that we can all have feminist ears. Ds now wants his ears pierced. He's 8 so I've says not until he's older. He gets enough grief for his long hair so I dread to think what would happen if he got his ears pierced. He has a very pretty face with amazingly long eyes lashes and is often mistaken for a girl. He never has a meltdown about it. He either corrects them (or I do,) nicely, or just mentally shrugs and doesn't bother because it doesn't matter if the person on the till in a shop got it wrong.

I was very proud to see an empty 8 pack of Tunnocks wafers in my daughter's camping bag when she emptied it out tonight.

Ha ha I realised too late that I’d forgotten to @ clothes so it read like that. They’ve not come back to the thread yet so I’m on my 25th cup of tea, 462 teacake and 43rd caramel. I may need to give in soon. It’s a good job I’m on tea and not tea gin.

I'm so happy. Just been to Waitrose and got a pack of Tunnocks dark chocolate wafers. I've hidden them down the side of the breadbin. I'm telling you lot just in case I forget what I've done with them and I start blaming the Tun-nicker that's been plaguing @Boiledbeetle

I watched my dark Tunnocks wafers drive off in the back of my sisters car yesterday, along with some snowballs, caramel logs and a solitary tea cake.

So it's looking like the culprit may either be @Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis who seems to be consuming vast quantities of product today, or my sister, so far.

It's obviously not @IcakethereforeIam as she's just bought some dark wafers... Unless.. She's trying to throw me off her trail.

And cake is back on the suspect list.

Folks lacking in Tunnocky delights need to head to Scotland! In the (quite small) co-op in this (quite rural) town, they have milk and dark wafers, milk and dark teacakes, caramel logs, and snowballs. And tubs of mini caramel wafers.

What? For closing down in Eldon Square? I'd have to go to fucking Ponteland and navigate through hordes of Newcastle Uinited Wags for a Gressingham Duck, or whatever! I HATE you!

I wonder if they'd be any good? I work with a girl who's coeliac and she let me try some gluten free cake and bread. Crikey, it was terrible. I say girl, she's 35 and runs a lifeboat, for goodness sake.

I think they are gluten free, but as someone who isn't affected by gluten issues I wouldn't really know!

There's a little Waitrose in Jesmond which seems nearer to Eldon Square than Ponteland does

I've had abdo terrible pain and accompanying sulphurous emissions since last night and wonder if it's Tunnocks withdrawal syndrome? Ive not had one since Sunday night. I've felt quite poorly. I haven't eaten or drunk anything out of the ordinary to otherwise explain it. I must go out and replenish my supplies.
