I have seen it quoted on here for many years that Tunnocks are to be supported as they support women's rights. I have looked on their website and social media and can see nothing to support this rumour. Does anyone have any evidence? Thanks.

Either as boiled suggests, with more of the same, or on well behaved occasions with plain tonic.

Have wracked my brain for well behaved occasions. Only ones I can think of are in law events. If I go to any of DPs family events I do behave well, despite my instincts screaming to get trashed.

I might have to buy many bottles of this nectar and share liberally. Maybe counterintuitive. I dunno, will ponder.

Decent into a plain bottle, get plastered tell in-laws a friend had given it to you and you just thought it was a special new cold tea, hasn't realised it was more gin than tea. As you fall into the in-laws prize winning rose bush 🌹🌹

I've always been rather intrigued as to whether this would be nice - uk.novelteadrinks.com/

Boiledbeetle · 25/07/2023 22:00

I'd give the GREEN MINT TEA WITH RUM a try if someone offered me a thimble full

Boiledbeetle · 25/07/2023 23:19

Is it wrong that I've brought a tea cake AND a caramel wafer to bed with?

I MEAN OBVIOUSLY IT'S NOT!

But I'm now undecided as to which one to eat first.

(Ooh look its the posh actual version of the book rather than the proof not for resale version. I don't do this on purpose of course it's just a handy flat non identifying surface on which to photograph things!😏)

Ah, so that's what the plus stands for in LGBTQIA+.

Random789 · 26/07/2023 07:44

If there were two Tunnocks in that picture (appropriately arranged) I would have called you a (chocolate-) genital fetishist

Boiledbeetle · 26/07/2023 09:39

@Random789 I am not I repeat not a chocolate genital fetishist.

Just about to eat breakfast. Which first? The left or the right Teacake😏or the (phwoar) caramel wafer

Yes in law events would be the only well behaved occasions I would go to.

Boiled you need some more red wafers, we all know you won’t eat the blue one unless you’re desperate.

I've just ordered the book whilst eating a Tunnocks caramel wafer and wearing my Thought Criminal tshirt and JK Rowling hoody saying women can't be bullied out of resistance. Terfing like a pro and all before 10 o'clock.

The gin one would be nice, though obviously not a patch in the Yorkshire tea one. Not sure about whisky or rum with tea but would be willing to test if large quantities were to appear in front of me. Wanders off to see if there is still some whisky in the back of the alcohol cupboard whilst boiling the kettle

Impressive. Adds writing on the T-shirt I’m wearing to multitasking with whisky searching and kettle boiling and wafer eating.

Also remember they donate to a charity every week, there's a good chance Tunnocks have also donated to one or more actual LGBT charities which include trans-rights.

And now I'm off to find out how to get them to donate to my charity. I have to snack buy for 100 greedy volunteers.

😃 Hopefully you'll enjoy the book as much as the caramel wafers. 80 poems written by the mad women of the FWR board what's not to love! (there is an ode to Yorkshire Tea in it, but alas no Tunnocks poems, they will be in volume 2)

Also: you are absolute proof, not that's it's needed, that women can multitask in any situation!

@Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis I swapped it out for a red one after the photo, I didn't want to be accused of being blueTunnocksphobic.

Or at least see if they'll do you a good price on a bulk buy?

SqueakyDinosaur · 26/07/2023 11:06

I'd completely forgotten this experiment. It was a bit disappointing, tbh. Much better to just eat the wafers and drink the vodka.

@SqueakyDinosaur soooo many questions!

Starting with how can you just scrunch up the wrappers like that! Sacrilege!

How long do you need to leave it? Does it not just turn into vodka mud? Was it better or worse than taking a bite of caramel wafer and a glug of vodka? Do you need to strain it? And if so did you eat the bit that didn't go through the strainer?

There were more that came to mind but I've forgotten what they were now!

Tricyrtis2022 · 26/07/2023 11:25

LOL, that looks vile 😅

Did you drink it all?

SqueakyDinosaur · 26/07/2023 11:36

You absolutely need to strain it otherwise it is just vodka mud. I suppose alternatively you could liquidise it till it's smooth! I left it for at least a month, like I do with sloe and quince gins.

ISTR I donated it to a friend's daughter for her "weird drinks for showing off at Uni" stash, after some sampling.

Obviously, @Boiledbeetle, I am now deeply ashamed of my Wrapper Crimes and have seen the true path to enlightenment. In my defence, I did at least cut one out tidily to be the label....

Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis · 26/07/2023 12:20

I’m not sure whether to be in awe or scared by that idea @SqueakyDinosaur

Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis · 26/07/2023 12:23

Also, did you have another packet of caramels to eat at the time of making because I’m not sure I could make myself put them all in there to leave for a whole month without accidentally eating one all of them?

Random789 · 26/07/2023 14:21

Loving the idea of liquidising vodka and caramel wafer . Have been meaning to work smoothies into my diet for health reasons , and this recipe looks as though it won't taste like compost bin.

Boiledbeetle · 26/07/2023 19:53

Takes deep breaths. I can do this

Oho! Just found the Wafer creams (and the entire rest of the range) in a petrol station. Have never tried these before.
