I have seen it quoted on here for many years that Tunnocks are to be supported as they support women's rights. I have looked on their website and social media and can see nothing to support this rumour. Does anyone have any evidence? Thanks.

Tunnocks should be supported because they are bloody gorgeous. No debate. 😉

Yum yum this.

Well what's the feminist position on snowballs?

I bought a load for some menfolk who did a load of work for me and can't work out if this was feminist or not.

All I can think of now is Snowballs. Must add them tonight’s Tesco order.

Give him a sharp rap on the back of the head with a mallet, more like! And make sure to plant clematis round your patio.

Why clematis?

Wouldnt you be better with some really rare, endangered species, so they cant dig up the patio any time soon, for fear of disturbance?

It will be funny later this year, early next when I get two patios redone. Might send DP away for a week or two to really get the street going.

Not only were the normal caramel logs out of stock the snowballs were as well which means I'm currently working my through the 10 tea cakes I'd ordered and the 10 they sent as replacement for the snowballs!

The caramel logs were replaced with caramel wafers which means I've 16 of them to eat as well.

It's at times like this when I'm glad i don't have a thieving husband wife or kids to deal with!

Boiledbeetle · 20/07/2023 21:53

Especially as i don't have room for a patio

It grows like a rocket. We've had hedge sparrows and blackbirds nesting in ours, this year. And the flowers!

Boiledbeetle · 21/07/2023 06:50

I'm starting the day off right and have had a caramel wafer AND a tea cake for breakfast! I'm going on the theory that Tunnocks products are like vegetables and you must eat your five a day!

Oh, well shit I'm no gardener, I use benign neglect on most things in the garden, it works 50% of the time. Literally, I have half my sunflowers growing nicely, the other half are ummm dying I think.
So I'm willing to try clematis. Still standing by the endangered species over a burial site.

SinnerBoy · 21/07/2023 08:24

The only thing you need for clematis is a trellis and a sense of wonder. I'm no gardener either! Yesterday, I cut mine back from the (little) apple tree and washing line, bird feeder etc...

SirVixofVixHall · 21/07/2023 08:28

Tesco, as predicted, were out of Snowballs. I am coeliac so to my great annoyance I can’t eat any of the other ones any more. I am living vicariously through the rest of the household as I ordered two packs of tea cakes and two of caramel wafers for them. No logs ever appear here. They are rare, almost mythical creatures.

MassiveWordSalad · 21/07/2023 12:04

Those Aldi dupes have a weird aftertaste.

Serves me right I suppose. Sorry Tunnocks.

Oh no poor you! I know GF stroopwaffels are a thing so you could go Dutch for a caramel fix.

SirVixofVixHall · 21/07/2023 14:00

Scored some Snowballs off Amazon. Will look for GF Stroopwaffels, I had forgotten they existed, I had a tin of them a year or so back.

You make it sound like you've scored class A drugs! (Of course Snowballs probably should be in the same category as class A drugs!).

I've discovered its not a good idea to have an open packet of mini caramel logs sat right next to me. I can't stop having 'just another one'

Here's some much pruned clematis; it was all over the washing line, yesterday!

So I have it on very good authority (as good authority as you can get on the location of a companies product) that the elusive Tunnock's wafer Creams that exists on their website but no one seems to have ever seen can be found at Farmfoods and Home Bargains.

I have neither of those shops at my location. Someone else is going to have to take one for the team and go shopping! Then return home to do a photo shoot!

Tricyrtis2022 · 21/07/2023 15:56

That looks delightfully wild, Sinner. We often have similar issues here with one washing line as it gets encumbered with climbing beans which escape their frame. One windy days, another washing line often ends up blowing too close to the sweetcorn or whatever happens to be growing nearby and I have to unhook shirts and whatnot from it. It's okay, though. I quite like it that way, it reminds me that humans don't rule the planet.

😱 do you engage in wild washing hanging at yours? Love where's my top? Well I hung it on the line yesterday but it's been eaten by the bush!

SinnerBoy · 21/07/2023 18:02

It's only a tiny bit of the line supporting some errant roses. They grew tall, then flopped and I hate to cut blooming flowers, or buds back. I did all the dead one, but there are loads of buds.

We've got a yucca and an ornamental (tiny, inedible) apple tree, both in pots. The yucca has two dwarf beans, the apple has an unidentified bean - hopefully runner and what I realised yesterday is spinach.

Our daughter was given some seeds at school. 4 sweetcorn out the front, in a long planter.

Lolol at this thread. I am currently low carbing. How do I indicate my firm opinion that #sexmatters without eating too many carbs?

Could you maybe eat carbs but wave pom poms more?

I'm not sure if it's yet been scientifically proven that pom pom waving cancels out carbs but I'm sure one of us could come up with a paper stating just that finding!

Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis · 21/07/2023 18:15

Urgh I was stupid and didn’t buy any last time I shopped because my obsession has got out of hand. I just found some penguin in the back of the cupboard and they’re just not good.
Why did the penguin make a fish pun? Just for the halibut
What did the penguin get from the genie in the lamp? Three fishes

When did the jokes get so bad?

I need Tunnocks urgently
